  1. Love the new title! :smile2: Well done missus BCF Book Reviewer! :clapping:

  2. Hey again :D Thanks for the add btw ... I'd be delighted! :D

  3. Hey petit! :006: (Hope you don't mind me shortening your name ;)) Hope You're settling in well :smile2:

  4. Haha  *stay strong* I'll certainly try ... we can encourage each other! (I need to get off here for a start and go and do something!) I lost 4 stone last year but I think I've put half of it back on since the op and I dont intend to put the other half on!! :irked: Besides .. its my OH 40th this year ... have to look good for that!! :D

  5. Hey Bronwen! Thanks for the add, I'd be delighted :D Get me! A published author on my friends list!! I already have been on your website, not for too long though but I will definately get back on to check out your books. I really admire people who can write, my English language skills are ok but I'm afraid I wouldn't have the imagination to write a full blown novel! Today I've just finished my grocery shopping then I have to go do some office work and fill out a few forms (hateful job), by that stage it will probably be time to start dinner :) My plans for tonight are a nice long soak in the tub with my current read then maybe bed early. Exciting stuff eh? Anyhoo ... gotta go, I do tend to ramble on a lot :o Take care and thanks again!

  6. I've just spent the last ten mins replyin to you then hit somthing and lost the lot!! :motz:It was funny too :irked:. Anyway ...Wow! You've been busy while having your coffee I see (I really hope there were no cakes or biscuits involved ... I don't think I could take it lol), lots of info on Dexter thank you :D That is really sweet about the actors, I really like them both and think they would be well suited! Have to keep it out of my mind when reading the books though eew!

Good for you saving money :clapping: I would have had no savings at your age, but then I did have two kids by then! (real money drain!) Shame your savings had to be used like this though. I hope all gets sorted out soon :friends0:

  7. Oh I'm sorry to hear about the money mix up Frankie, I really hope it gets to you sooner rather than later :hug:

We haven't started decorating yet (I use the term 'we' rather loosely ), OH still painting ceilings at the min.

Thanks for the Dexter info I shall skip along now and add them to my wishlist (I've added 6 today already!) I'm really glad you are enjoying Kathy Reich, I've still got Devil Bones on my shelf but there is so much now to choose from

Be warned! - Avoid my blog!! there are some great recommendations on it from others!

Enjoy your chicken you hungry hegar!!

  8. Hey Frankie! :D Did you see my thoughts on Darkly Dreaming Dexter? I really enjoyed it and I think it helped bring back my mojo! :D What's the next one in the series? I'm dying to know what happens next :)

Sorry btw how are you? I got a bit excited there

  9. Nightswallow sounds really good Bronwen, I think I shall have to add it to my wishlist! :D The reason I asked about bodysnatching was because I have recently been to Edinburgh and when I was there I bought a book called Fleshmarket Close by Nicola Morgan (I hope I've remembered her name correctly ) Your title reminded me of this book and I just sorta put two and two together and came up with 5 so to speak! But both books do sound really good :smile2:

  10. Oh now you're just showing off with all that multi-tasking! :irked: Not a bad idea though with the book ... might go and get mine too :D. I've decided not to move from my sofa til at least 4pm when I will get up to make dinner ... until then a cuppa sounds nice and might light the fire (although strictly speaking that would mean moving :irked:). Hey while I remember, check out the author Chelsea Cain and her books the first being Heartsick. Think they might be right up your street, the killer sounds disturbed! :tease:

  11. Please tell me you haven't been here since last night!!! Have you slept at all??:lol:

  12. You've redecorated! Love what you've done with the place! :D

  13. Hi rwemad :006: I hope you like the forum so far and are settling in well :smile2:

  14. Oh thats good! I'm glad I was able to help :D I did go to start a thread, but then I was a good girl and checked to see if there already was one and there was, so I posted on it to start it up again :smile2: Hope you can get the books ok, I know amazon do quite a few of his so good luck on that and don't worry about double posting, I love getting messages!!! :D

  15. Haven't you? Oh I'm so jealous you get to start them all from the beginning! You are in for a real treat :smile2: Start with 'The Rosary Girls' by Richard Montanari, there's not many on here who have read his books and I'd love to hear what you think of them :smile2: Hmmm..... I think I may start a thread about him .... why didn't I think of that before??? Thanks for the inspiration Beth!!

  16. No Problem.. I love talking books! :D One of my favourite is 'The Rosary Girls' by Richard Montanari. I picked it up in a hurry one day, ya know one of those days when your OH is hurredly askin 'have you picked something yet???' :irked: I got it home, read it, then went straight out and bought the next two in the series. I thought it was one of the best books I had read in a long time. The next one I would recommend is Tess Gerritsen 'The Surgeon' (if you haven't already read it). It's very like the previous book, so maybe thats a disadvantage but I had just finished reading the Montanari series so perhaps my mind 'blended' the two! Finally one more ... I would definately recommend Darkly Dreaming Dexter. It is totally from the serial killers perspective but more of a lighter read :) Mind you ... these are really recent reads and I'll probably remember others I read years ago, then I'll be torturing you with book ideas! :smile2:

  17. Hi BrainFreeze :006: Just popped in to say hello and :thanx: for the recommendations. I always love discovering a new author :D Hope you are settling in well :smile2:

  18. Happy Birthday Renniemist! :smile2: Hope you have a great day :D

  20. Happy Birthday! :D Hope you had a great day! :smile2:

  21. Happy Birthday to you! :D

  22. Uh oh .. its started already! Before you know it you will be reading less and less and on here more and more! Don't worry though the novelty will wear off and you will calm down ... at least that's what I keep telling myself  Glad you're enjoying the place :smile2:

  23. I joined in Sept last year so I'm still relatively new too but I'm afraid I became quite addicted to it quite quickly! (Be warned, it happens often) I have learnt so much since I joined though, for instance I've never kept track of my reading before, but do now and I've tried some different genres that I wouldnt have thought about. Oh and made some great friends too so hopefully you will too :D

  24. Dont worry about it! You weren't the only one! The same happened to another friend I was chatting to just before it happened to you :D It was nice ot catch up :)
