  1. First day of counting Weight Watchers points came and went without any complications. I can eat 22 points in a day and in my weekly eating plans I always keep a couple of points unplanned, so I have some kind of buffer if I crave a piece of chocolate for example. Bf went to the gym yesterday but I still cough too much to join in.
  2. Awesome books, they were my surprise highlights in 2010. I like the series and just baught the fourth bok last week. They're not as good as the Sookie books though. Very good trilogy, I loved all the books. Amazing book! I couldn't put it down! Happy reading in 2011
  3. Which 12 books? Maybe we can help with the selection process
  4. I just flew through all three of the books. Bf made me read them and I was totally surprised by how much I liked them.
  5. I've got a similar training plan like you, warming up (crosstrainer or bike or or or) then quite a few weight machines for different parts of the body, then sit ups or crunches and in the end crosstrainer (or bike or or or) for about an hour. This takes me about 2 hours all together.
  6. I've read some more of Deadly little secret and the hopes are high that I can finish it today.
  7. Hello there, I'm joining you guys with New Year resolutions. I started this morning with counting Weight Watcher points again. I"ve dusted off all the material that I have from some years ago and made an eatingplan one week ahead. I'm not good with sticking to resolutions but I hope that I have enough motivation to keep going this time. I need to loose, well, quite a lot of weight (30 kilos ) and that will take me at least a couple of years. I also intend to go to the gym again, 3 times a week. I"m not sure if I start this week, as I'm not fully ok again after being sick for the last couple of weeks. The good thing is, my dear bf wants to loose a bit of weight aswell so we'll be going to the gym together and he'll be happy about the good WW meals I'm going to put on the table. So, lets get started everyone

  21. That was the best of the whole movie My bf is allowed to make me watch one movie a month, which I normally wouldn't watch and I'm not to mope during the film (it was a gift coupon for his birthday). This month he chose Alien, as he just got the new edition with the glowing egg
  22. I just ordered The complete borrowers by Mary Norton. I seem to be in a book-buying-frenzy again...
  23. J.K. Rowling > Harry Potter und der Stein der Weisen (Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone) Synopsis from amazon Say you've spent the first 10 years of your life sleeping under the stairs of a family who loathes you. Then, in an absurd, magical twist of fate you find yourself surrounded by wizards, a caged snowy owl, a phoenix-feather wand and jellybeans that come in every flavour, including strawberry, curry, grass and sardine. Not only that, but you discover that you are a wizard yourself! This is exactly what happens to young Harry Potter in JK Rowling's enchanting, funny debut novel, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. In the non-magical human world--the world of "Muggles"--Harry is a nobody, treated like dirt by the aunt and uncle who begrudgingly inherited him when his parents were killed by the evil Voldemort. But in the world of wizards, small, skinny Harry is renowned as a survivor of the wizard who tried to kill him. He is left only with a lightning-bolt scar on his forehead, curiously refined sensibilities and a host of mysterious powers to remind him that he's quite, yes, altogether different from his aunt, uncle, and spoilt, pig-like cousin Dudley. A mysterious letter, delivered by the friendly giant Hagrid, wrenches Harry from his dreary, Muggle-ridden existence: "We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry". Of course, Uncle Vernon yells most unpleasantly, "I AM NOT PAYING FOR SOME CRACKPOT OLD FOOL TO TEACH HIM MAGIC TRICKS!" Soon enough, however, Harry finds himself at Hogwarts with his owl Hedwig ... and that's where the real adventure--humorous, haunting, and suspenseful--begins. My thoughts This is a re-read and I still love this book the second (or third?) time around. The characters and the whole scenery of the story are lovely. It's so imaginative. Rating: 5/5 Series: Harry Potter 1
