  6. No I agree with all you have said you have a very good reviewing skill

  7. During my childhood I had never eaten Garlic, my upbringing was very victorian. my dads side family are very old fashioned. When I met my first wife she introduced me to Garlic Bread. now I have garlic with most foods. My most recent has to be jars of sun dried tomatoes in the nice sweet juices. I eat them like sweets from a jar. Has anyone else found a new food item they really like?
  8. What about the Texan Bar. Toffo's and those big Yellow Fizz bombs? what about space dust which used to explode on the tongue. I hate to think what went into them. My nephew used to go potty if he ate blue Smarties, in the end my sisiter had to throw the blue ones away. My niece used to go potty if she drunk pure orange juice.
  9. Other than having a TV you are right on the button. I don't mix, or speak to anyone if I can help it. I was always told. "if you dont drink smoke like football and read the Sun you are considered a wieirdo!" My Mum is the worst she cannot understand why I have to read "Highbrow" papers and listen to "Highbrow" radio stations.
  10. a fluffy chocolate bar very sweet and sickly and aero bar with very tiny bubbles
  11. Every time I pass the maintenace shed one of the men always shouts out rude names to me. I am considered boring and Odd "Cos you are always reading something" Just because I dont read the tabloids and drink beer and am not dereogative to anyone and enjoy reading i am victimised for it. at School I spent my dinner hour browsing the library and settling down to read the reference books. soon the windows would be covered by peering children trying to break my concentration. I do not want to be one of the boys I prefer my own company and my books.
  12. I am considered well read by some folks and it seems I am always being texed during pub quizes when a literary question is asked. The only thing I am not good at is Sport questions. as I reiterate reading helps me escape from real life, One former partner said I was in my own litlle world. I replied "Yes, and I love it!"
  13. Just think if you had asked JK Rowling. Most authors are very kind. I went to a Pratchett signing once and had copied one of his book covers and printed it on my T shirt. He said "Thats not a legal design" "No" i said I copied one of your book covers and printed it on my T shirt. it will never be worth anything. He reached over and signed it and said "it is now!" CJ
  14. Is a comment I get from some people. If I did not read I would smoke much more than 20 a day, throw things at the telly and become very bored. I think that I still do as much in a day and still find time to read a heck of a lot. It's all about time management. Well sort of. on my days off I do not wear a watch and switch off my radio clock alarm. Oh! I set my mobile alarm for the Archers. My only real bad habit is reading the Times before doing anything else on my days off. CJ
  15. Thats Cheating! I love looking forward to the ending.
  16. I read every word and often go back to the start of a paragraph if I lose concentration. How can skimming be proper reading. My speed is hard to define but I read at the speed that I speak if that makes any sense.
  17. I recently read the Enid Blyton Books The Magic Faraway Tree with my young nephews and nieces but they are all very pc re prints, Dick and Fanny have been changed to less (Rude) names. and some other obvious un-pc characters have had name changes Adrian Mole reminds me very much of my rather "wet" Cousin

  23. Eek I have just counted by audio books 186! I re listen to these more than re reading the books. Most of my AB;s are fiction I have lots of radio shows and plays too, including old Archers episodes (Remember these?)
