  8. Maybe it's because you use the 'roll eyes' emoticon in pretty much every post. And it's not like you'd roll your eyes and talking about your grandmother dying in the same sentence.

Welcome to the forum. What genre of books are you into?
  10. Aha thank you Kylie. Finished The Amulet Of Samarkand by Jonathan Stroud. Was very impressed, very good plot and characters, kept me not wanting to put it down! 9/10. Edit - Will be starting the next in the series, The Golem's Eye, either a bit later tonight, or tomorrow, depending on how much time I have on my hands. Sypnosis from back.In The Amulet Of Samarkand the young magician Nathaniel won wide acclaim for his daring exploits in saving the powerful jewel for the government; now he seems set to continue his meteoric rise through the ministerial ranks. But the mysterious Resistance inflicts terrifying destruction on London, and soon Nathaniel's job and his very life are under threat, not only from the elusive Kitty and her companions, but from an unknown and bewildering source. Nathaniel is forced to embark on a perilous mission to the enemy city of Prague and to summon once again the troublesome, enigmatic and quick-witted djinni, Bartimaeus. A roller-coaster ride of magic, adventure and political skulduggery in which the fates of Nathaniel, Bartimaeus and Kitty explosively collide. Also will be seeing if I can get hold of the last of The Black Magician trilogy (High Lord) from a friend at school. He's taking his time reading it, but I'm persevering. I don't usually but might start both at the same time.
  11. I'm hoping to get hold of Dreams From My Father soon.
  12. Hm, had one of those ready-made chicken tika's and rice. Was nice though, in my defence.
  13. I think they're doing a good job in my opinion. The adverts make most people remember Caburys and that's the purpose of an advert is it not. I doubt it's going to make people not buy the chocolate.
  14. I'm assuming your local pub was a nice quite place then.
  15. Agreed, I know a few people that can do it a bit, but not that much.
  16. I've read the Maximum Ride novels, and was very impressed.
  17. Ouch, I didn't think it was so bad that people couldn't watch it. I found it quite funny.
  18. That's ridiculous, I'm starting to like her attention seeking personality a lot less every minute.
  19. It's unfortunate to hear that you couldn't get into the Black Magician trilogy, as I loved them. And I enjoyed the way the characters flipped and changed. I haven't read Wuthering Heights, but saying that, it is on the list of 'possible reading material' for my English Literature course in September. It would be good of me to read some of them before I start it, so I'm prepared.
  20. Ooh, Matrix are quality. xD
  21. Ah thank you Kell, it can't have been that good or someone would of recommended it to me. I'll look out for the book though.
  22. Lol, me neither really.
  23. Couldn't you contact her via her site or something. You never know, it's worth trying. It could get to her and if it did she might sit up and take some notice of what people are trying to say.
  24. Agreed with that. Like Bethany I've been reluctant to come into this thread as well, but I also agree with this.
