  1. It is most definitely feeling better, I'm hoping it is just taking a while to taper off because it's almost gone now. Just trying to have a relaxed day, hopefully that will do it. How are you, loo? :)

  2. I want Darnell to go, he really annoys me!
  3. I'm not as into chick lit as I am horror and exciting stuff such as zombies, vampires, scary things emerging from the sea to eat you etc. and I love Dean Koontz and some comedy too. I like a bit of everything really. Marian Keyes is good.

    Erm...hi

Hi Ruth, you won't remember me because I'm new but I think it's a lovely place too hope you decide to stay!
  5. Hi Nici, I completely understand and if you still want to do the review, of course, you can read it. It just depends if you feel up to it but it can wait - there's no rush. I'm sorry to hear about your loss -x-

  6. Sold out! The manager kept three signed copies aside though, and there is also signed copies in Waterstones next door under 'Kirkcaldy Recommends' :) I think the book is right next to someone really established yay! Were you just down for the weekend?

  7. Inver, will be in Kirkcaldy WH Smith until every copy is damn well sold hahah! Was in Dunfermline until 2.30pm, it was a sell-out! Sold them all. Have determination of steel. Was told I was great salesperson. May need to take up sales job, could come in handy! Thanks for asking :)

  8. Is the paperback not out? I have it because my mum ordered it from her book club.
  9. I absolutely adored this book! Thought it was a great read and would recommend it to anyone, even my partner who promptly said 'I thought that was a girly book' to which I replied 'So?'
  10. Quite a wide variety - my favourite is Stephen King, also love Dean Koontz, especially the Odd Thomas series but anything by him, Marian Keyes, Isla Dewar, Elizabeth Wurzel, Robert Rankin. But I take chances on things too. Anything horror-ish - Christopher Pike is another good one, he wrote my favourite book of all time.

  11. Thanks! :) I totally understand, I don't even read fantasy myself. I didn't even start out writing it as fantasy, but it just came out that way. If you want to read something different, I think you'd enjoy it though - it's more story - character focused than anything else.

What kind of thing do you normally read?

  12. fantasy/horror fiction, but it has a bit of everything really :)

  13. Gobilino the witches cat made me cry at the end. Jerry (i think) the burglars cat - i was in hysterical tears at the end of that, beautiful story. Ermmm... the fish that could wish. What Katy Did. What Katy Did Next. Then I read Goosebumps - too tame. Point horror - too tame. Went straight to Stephen King when I was about 11.
  14. I bought the fancy jiffy bags! God I'm so excited now lol!

  15. Hi Nici, your book is on its way! I'm really annoyed because I saw some beautiful shiny gold jiffy bags on sale at WH Smith at the weekend, and I was going to buy them but my fiancee said 'no, get them another day' so I went back today and they were all gone, and to make matters worse I can't find similiar ones ANYWHERE so I had to send my review copies in boring jiffy bags :( it would have been so fabulous to send them in those nice ones instead. Anyway, hope you like it.

  16. You don't fancy taking a trip back to Kirkcaldy for old memories sake this Saturday (and of course my book signing) hahahah! My grandparents live in Kinghorn.

  17. That's right, yes! Wow, so where do you live now, still in Scotland?

  18. You're very welcome to be nosey! There isn't much to see though, my profile is a bit boring.

  19. Thanks! I just hope you're not disappointed... be gentle with me!! lol I'm so nervous about this review stuff - I haven't had any proper reviews yet!

  20. Oh, thank you. I didn't really have any say, I just gave the publishers a few ideas of what would make a good cover, then their illustrators went away and created it for me. I didn't see it until quite late on so it was a lovely surprise that it turned out so well! Are you having a good weekend?

  21. Oh no, I don't know what to say, that IS terrible :( I'm truly sorry to hear that :( now talking about my weekend just seems insignificant and silly compared to what you and your family have been through. I wish you all the best. I put up a thread in the writers corner about how today went, I'm a bit exhausted after my book signing but it was a good day.

  22. What a pretty kitty! Hi, hope you're having a good weekend! I think I'll stick around here :)

  23. Thanks for being interested in my book! I replied to you on my profile but I didn't know if you'd see that so I'm writing it here now! I think the book is available everywhere, you can order it from your local bookstore through Gardners (book distributor) or online at amazon. Tim will be happy, he designed the website for me, he's a genius! Hope you are having a good weekend! -x-

  24. Wow, very pink! Where did you have work experience then, go on, spill! Was it any good? Thanks for being my friend :) yay!!

  25. Hello... very blue profile! Well, Tiger pic had to go! I love my book cover so I thought I'd share it with the forum, you never know, it might get some people interested! They say never judge a book by its cover but a lot of people do!
