  1. Hello and welcome, Termite! Hope you have fun here, you should fit in really well I love Japan! I went there a few years ago and I will return one day because I had a fantastic time, and I love the culture! Nice to meet you!
  2. I think the only fantasy book I've actually read was 'The Hobbit' so that'd have to be my favourite. Well, Harry Potter is sometimes described as fantasy I suppose... I'd like to read The Dark Tower series by Stephen King
  3. I used to love ER but some for reason I haven't watched the final series, it's quite sad really. I never watched it at the start, got into it because of my mum and now I don't know if I can bring myself to watch the final series. Apparently it's been quite sad too so maybe it's a good thing I'm not watching it.
  4. Why doesn't the real writer - Rebecca or whatever her name is - come forward as the 'real author' of the books and begin selling things with her own name instead of Katie Price? Rebecca could do so much better for herself. I want to see something Katie Price has really written by herself
  5. I absolutely adore Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson. And although they are more comic books than literature, they have little stories in them etc. that go on for a few pages sometimes. I used to read the books over and over again when I was a child, just never got bored of them! When I was in Borders today I saw the complete collection of Calvin and Hobbes had been released in a set of 3 large hardback books, at the price of
  6. Has anyone ever tried Mississippi mud pie? Basically just pasty base with chocolate filling mmmm might be quite nice with Nutella. Just make the pastry base, spread the Nutella nice and thick and stick it in the fridge for a bit, or maybe have it warm who knows.
  7. Yes, I know they are very different things, sorry I didn't make that clear. I knew she probably had help in some way as you never see her doing any writing on her reality tv show
  8. Was it any good, did you enjoy it? I haven't read any of her books, never really been interested. I wonder if she writes these books completely by herself or whether she hires a ghost writer/editor to help her with it. Well, most published authors have editors anyway, whether employed by the publisher or agent etc. so that's not a surprise.
  9. I need to go and peel some potatoes now
  10. So it's not just me then! Kind of cool that potatoes do that, though
  11. I love beans, mash and sausages, yum!
  12. We had Shepherd's pie tonight and it was lovely
  13. Watch this. This annoying woman has found a way to peel potatoes without using a potato peeler. I think it's wrong, a waste of water and generally for someone with far too much time on their hands But what do you think? Ingenius or just plain insane?
  14. Oh, don't! I know it's bad for me and I've probably had one too many today! Don't know why I did it, it's just we had some Nutella on the kitchen counter, and next to it was the packet of digestives and one thing led to another...
  15. It's even better when you spread the nutella really thick on top of the digestive biscuit - just tastes so good
  16. Has anyone ever tried this? Mmmmmm it's too good what an awful idea, why did I have to go and do it, how am I going to lose weight now??! It is delicious though
  17. I don't understand why some people don't like Stephen King... I was talking to a writer who said he was trying to be better than he is or something, trying to get more recognition than he deserved it just sounded like jealousy to me. I absolutely love Stephen King and no-one can tell me he isn't good!
  18. Pasta bake tonight, with yellow pepper, red onion and mushrooms, with cheese on top mmmm
  19. Crunchy Granola bars!
  20. I don't have much money either, I'm a poor and struggling writer! So if everyone buys my book I can afford to buy more of his :irked:
  21. I read an interview with him in which he said he doesn't sell a huge amount of books, so let's help him out and all buy his books
  22. It's funny, I just picked them up at Tescos on a whim, tried one yesterday, loved it and then saw an advert for the exact same ones on tv last night
  23. I absolutely adore Robert Rankin! My favourite's of his are 'The Dance of the Voodoo Handbag' and 'Snuff Fiction' but I'm also reading 'The Da-da-de-da-da Code' right now.
