  1. Hi and welcome! Are you enjoying Alone? - I've not read that 1 yet!

  2. I agree - even when I'm surfing other pages - I generally have BCF open in the background!

  3. Hi Frankie - I hope you're enjoying it here! :)

  4. Hi there. Yorkshire is a lovely place - I'm sure you'll enjoy it there! Welcome to BCF too! :)

  5. I have to say I'm half way through and I do want to keep reading, but I'm finding the constant jumping around is giving my brain a good workout. It may be that it''ll be one of those books I have to finish before deciding if I like it or not! I also have to say that at the moment I don't really feel I've connected with any of the characters.

  6. Happy Birthday - hope it's a good one!:balloons:

  7. Thank you & sorry for delay as I've been away for a few days. Thank you for the friendship request too :)

  8. I may just do that next week. My son said I'd die before I read all my TBR books! :irked: I worked it out at about 2 years if I read an hour a day.

To him a 100 books would take a 100 years to read!

  9. Thanks Inver that is good to know! I'm in 2 minds - not sure to join the bookring now or later as I've quite a lot to read at the moment.

  10. Hi Supergran - Sorry I missed your message yesterday - it was tiring one from what I could remember as it was first day back at work after a break and there was loads to do! It was a better day today though! Have you had thunderstorms today?

  11. Very good actually thanks! - I'm having a very lazy, enjoyable week off work and I'm thoroughly enjoying it! :)

  12. Is your head feeling better Bronwen?

  13. I just came across your avatar and it brings 2 thoughts to mind, both of which I'm a fan. They are Moonlighting and The Clangers - I loved both programmes!

  14. :bestw:Happy Birthday!

  15. Have a good birthday! :-)

  16. Happy Birthday! :5birthday:

  17. Sorry to hear about Teazle Tiger.

  18. It can be a shame that sometimes people do not hear the words you are saying and understand from what you say that you are angry or stressed with something. It would be a better world if we didn't all stomp around just trying to get across how we feel. I have been told that I come across as very laid back, but I think life's too short to worry about the small things in life! (Although I guess my small things can be someone else's large!)

  19. Hi there - I don't know about the loo bit. but I can definitely be a bit loopy sometimes, although I guess with age and life's events I have calmed down a little!

Unfortunately with work commitments and other commitments at weekends it would be really hard to have another dog at the moment, but I would love another when the time is right. I do have a cat, but she is VERY independent.

I was just reading about your Great-grandfather - what an interesting background to have & I must say your user name sounds really calming to me - any reason for it?

  20. Hi there! Yes we do miss him - he was like a huge teddy bear - he was called Paddy - short for Paddington. The softest most loveable, but huge dog: If he got on the bed there was no moving him!

  21. Yes - firey colours would be great! My son went out last night, so we're going to watch last night's episode of Dr Who tonight. We mostly sit down to watch it together.

  22. Good morning Laramie! I like the Dr Who and pink! :)

  23. Still thinking of you and your family and sending you my sympathies. It's really awful for you all to have to deal with this and I feel for you all.

  24. Yes it's been good so far thanks - except the weather has been pretty awful today! It's just been thundering again! Are you having a restful day tomorrow?

My daughter is keen on art and we were talking yesterday about her possibly trying to get into the design side of things like book covers.
