Omg I love that photo. I love how you've arranged everything on the set. I seriously want to paper my walls with screen shots of your reading blog
Thanks, frankie!
aha... finally... someone else who takes pics of their books in the contexts they read them for their blog. How long have you been doing that for bookworm?
Arukiyomi, though I've taken some pictures in the past, I mostly started this year. Just about everyone I know has been biten by the ebook bug and it truly saddens me. I love real books and taking these pics has become a way for me to express just how much I do.
Love the piccies while you read.....enjoy the Maggie O'Farrels when you get to them...both great reads.
Thank you, Inver! I'm hoping to read at least one of O'Farrell's books this summer.
Hoping to update this blog soon. I have a few books/thoughts to post, and I also have a few pictures to upload as well.

What did you think of 'Room' by Emma Donoghue? I read this novel and loved it.
Even though I was hoping for a little more from the second half, I thoroughly enjoyed it!
Are you liking it....?
I am loving The Book Thief!
I'm now getting into the full swing of Gone With The Wind. It took me about 3 weeks to read 20% of it, due to things going on at home, but now I'm really hooked on it. I'm so surprised at the story so far. It's nothing like I expected. And I'm now starting to warm to Scarlett. I thought she was devious little so-and-so at the beginning, but now she's quite an interesting character!
Yay! I'm so happy you're enjoying it!
I finished The Thorn Birds by Colleen McCullough it was a fantastic read I couldn't put it down. I'm going to start one of my Mother's Day pressies next Replay by Ken Grimwood
Happy to see you enjoyed The Thorn Birds. Its been sitting on my bookshelf for awhile now. Hoping to read it this summer.
Still reading The Book Thief. Wish I could find more time to sit and read it because I'm absolutely loving it!

Lovely pic bookworm! You gorgeous godbaby looks as right chunky bit of baby fat! He's almost as big as you are I have the urge to eat his fat little legs! In the south, when we see healthy babies like this we call the legs "hamhocks!" and we just drool all over them. So juicy! Hehehe! He is just so precious sleeping in his godmommy's arms and you look like there is no place else you'd rather be!
Thanks, Katrina! He is totally a chunka (just under 20 lbs. at five months)! I call him my little Buddha, and I just love him to pieces.

The Book Theif by Markus Zusak
Synopsis:
It’s just a small story really, about among other things: a girl, some words, an accordionist, some fanatical Germans, a Jewish fist-fighter, and quite a lot of thievery...
Set during World War II in Germany, Markus Zusak’s groundbreaking new novel is the story of Liesel Meminger, a foster girl living outside of Munich. Liesel scratches out a meager existence for herself by stealing when she encounters something she can’t resist–books. With the help of her accordion-playing foster father, she learns to read and shares her stolen books with her neighbors during bombing raids as well as with the Jewish man hidden in her basement before he is marched to Dachau.
This is an unforgettable story about the ability of books to feed the soul.

Rating: 5/5
Thoughts:
I finished this book in March and I've not been able to stop thinking about it since. It was beautifully written and touched me deeply. Liesel will surely remain in my heart forever.
If you've yet to read this book, you should treat yourself immediately! I cannot recommend this book highly enough.
Has anyone read I Am the Messenger? After reading The Book Thief I'm curious to read other works by Zusak, but I also have the feeling his other works will be a let down. The Book Thief was just too good!
