  1. Hi! Pleased to meet you here! I'm good, hope you are too!

  2. I've read Tuesday's Child and I wasn't all that impressed. I doubt I'll read any more of her books.
  3. I love it too! It was the first Carole Matthews book I read. I thought it was so emotional - had me in tears!
  4. Hi Lucy! It's A. Writer from the Novel Racers! Thought I'd say hello! *waves*

  5. I agree, for an unpredictable Carole Matthews book try Let's Meet at Platform 8.
  6. I've read all her books apart from Going Dutch (which is in my to-be-read pile). I love them! Katie Fforde writes perfect escapism books.
  7. I went to see the film last Thursday! I absolutely LOVED it! A real rollercoaster! Funny, sad, happy, thoughtful.... I want a sequel! And I want to go to the cinema to see it again!
  8. I LOVED Puffin Post! Glad to hear they are still doing something like that in schools.
  9. The finale was so bizarre. I was left agog for the majority of it. Loved it!
  10. I'm so jealous! I've seen Wicked twice and would LOVE to see it again. I'm currently listening to another favourite musical of mine, Evita.
  11. I may hate shopping and be something of a tomboy but that doesn't stop me loving The Shopaholic Series and Kinsella's stand alone books, Can You Keep A Secret?, The Undomestic Goddess and her latest, Remember Me. They are the perfect slice of escapism that I, and no doubt other readers, want in a world full of death and misery. So what if the stories are far fetched and unrealistic, so what if things just happen to fall into the lap of the characters. The readers wish it would happen to them. Shopaholic and Baby isn't the best in the Shopaholic Series but it's damn good read all the same. Roll on the next one please. Oh and if it wasn't for Sophie Kinsella I wouldn't be a writer. I wouldn't be as obsessed with books as I am now.
  12. I agree completely with that too. I would name some examples I've read recently but I won't for various reasons.
  13. Absolutely! I loved and still love The Da Vinci Code, errors or no errors. It's a good old read IF YOU DON'T TAKE IT TOO SERIOUSLY. Okay, there might be a few mistakes but it doesn't affect the story. Because that's what it is. A story.
  14. I love this show! I watch it every Sunday.
  15. I'm gutted that I missed this! Minette Walters is Carol Thatcher? Weird!

It is isn't it? When they keep slipping over! I might go and watch that right now. I could do with a giggle!

Can I add that I absolutely love Still Game! I think it's the funniest thing on the box. I still giggle at the one called 'Cauld'. Hobbies? Other than reading and writing... I do the normal stuff like watch tv, dvds etc. The only thing that might be slightly different is my palm reading. Been doing it for umpteen years now and my success rate is pretty high.
  18. I voted Horror, Thriller, Fantasy and Romance.
  19. I'm beginning to worry. Am I far too fussy with my books? I couldn't bare to fold a corner down and don't get me started on the spine. I can't bend the spine. If I accidently bend the spine of a book I'm gutted.
  20. Thank you for the welcome everyone! Karen-thank you for the nice words.
  21. Yay! I'm glad I'm not the only person who loves them!
  22. If you get the chance to see it, go!! It is truly breath taking! I had goosebumps on my goosebumps! Defying Gravity left me speechless! My only regret is I never got to see Idina Menzel as Elphaba! I've got the book and have yet to read it.
  23. Thank you all for the warm welcome! FishAndChips-Thank you for the best wishes! I sometimes can't believe that I've near enough finished a book! It's mad!
