Hi Jenn, welcome to the forum.

Welcome to the board Peachess.

A mini-readathon would be good. A kind of race to see who can read the most pages during a certain time period. We could either get sponsors, or we can each donate a small amount ourselves - a kind of entry fee. The one thing I would say if a readathon is what we do, is that it might be best to change the day we do it on. March 5th falls on a Thursday and I don't know about the rest of you but I would prefer to do a readathon on a Saturday or Sunday - more time for one thing!

How about a readathon, or a mini-readathon?

Maybe we could try and think of something to do on BCF ... not sure what though.

Did anyone else see the preview/advert for next weeks episode? Think I worked out
when Mark comes back. He has to be the doctor who treated the new chief's son, right? So she has a flashback?
I missed the advert, but next week is the week
that Mark, Kerry Weaver and Romano all make appearances

Welcome to the forum Dan. You've definitely come to the right place to talk about books!

I know we touched on this subject previously, but ...
It's looking like the rumours that Katherine Heigl (Izzy) and TR Knight (George) are leaving are true after James Pickens Jr (Richard) told US Weekly that they were both leaving the series to pursue other projects. However it hasn't been officially confirmed.
If this does turn out to be true I think it sucks!

I think it looks more like this to the naked eye (this image has been rotated 90

I'm pretty certain that is a false colour image, designed to highlight the detail in the different gas clouds.
Do you mean that it doesn't look like that in reality?

Well I finished this last night, and although I thought it was a bit slow to start with it picked up about two thirds of the way through. I thought it was okay, still not entirely sure what the big deal is about it though, but rather than post random musings here I'll write my review and then either post that here or just link to it.
Although I'm lending my copy to a friend first I was thinking of offering it up as a book ring on here at some point, so if you happen to be in the minority of not having read it yet, keep an eye open for it over in the Book Ring section!

I don`t think I`ll be trying them, cheese and onion`s about as adventurous as I get in the crisp department.
Same here, although I do have a bit of a thing for Pickled Onion Monster Munch.

They are
Fish and chips, builders breakfast, crispy duck and hoisin sauce, chilli and chocolate, onion bhaji and cajun squirrell. The idea is that you try them and vote for your favourite they will then ditch the other five and make the winner a permanent thing
I don't really fancy any of them. Think I will stick to the boring, but rather tasty normal flavours.

Welcome to the forum Leah, I hope you have fun here.

Thanks Lola-Rose. It doesn't sound quite as bad as what I initially thought, but I still don't think it's for me.
It's a great price for the amount of books you'd get mind.

Edit: Just looked her up on IMDB here she's been in a few things, only one I recognise her from is she played Lena in Brothers and Sisters.
That's where I recognise her from. Thank you.

How big is the writing on the screen though, like how many lines per page? I just have this vision of it only having like 5 words on the screen before you have to move it on. I can't get my head around how it works?
-
It was originally 18 I believe but because of the higher viewing figures in the US, the network increased it to 21.

This is an interesting question and unfortunately one that I can't answer yet. I do have the Stephenie Meyer books waiting to be read (will be reading Twilight next in fact) but one thing I will say is that they will have to be completely mind-blowing to even compete with the Harry Potter books let alone beat them.

I'm with Laura. The idea of reading a book on a normal sized computer feels me dread at the best of times, so having to read it on a screen the size of the DS would be even more of a nightmare.
It's a good idea though in theory. Just not for me.

Ooooh never thought of that. Then again it could be a death!
Who would that be though? I can only think of one person and that would be Carter ... pretty much everyone knows him other than the newbie people this year.
Talking of which that blonde intern ... where have I seen her before? It's been annoying me since she made her first appearance.

They should have a big party at the end with new and old characters reuniting and remembering those been and gone.
Surely the only way that would happen is if County General was shutting or something. I mean it would need to be something quite significant to warrant all the characters coming back, without it being totally unbelievable.
Hello everyone.
