  1. Thanks for the warm welcome.

Maureen my 'to read list' is already huge and I'm trying to work my way down it before buying any more but I only tend to knock a couple of books off of it, before adding on a few more. So if anything it gets bigger.

Kell, I'm from a town just outside Glasgow.

  2. I tend to read whenever I can. Mostly in the evenings before bed as it helps me relax, but I also try and read in the morning too if I have a spare half hour before having to leave for work - which doesn't happen very often. I also take my book to work with me and read in my lunch hour too.

  3. I'm a regular visitor to my local library. I go every Friday in my lunch hour - that's not to say that I always get books out, but if I see one I like the sound of I'll get it while I see it.

The main library in my town is a fairly decent sized one with smaller ones situated in different ares of the town and you can borrow books and return them to any of them, but I tend to stick to the main central library as it's within minutes of where I work so it's easier for me to get to.

I have to say though that it's only recently, within the last six months or so that I've noticed they seem to be getting newly published books in within weeks of them being published. Where as before you had to wait ages for them to arrive...months even.

  4. I love to buy books as there is nothing better than the smell of a brand new book fresh from the printers...well okay off the shelf in the bookstore but you know what I mean. I tend to get them from Waterstones or WH Smith and of course from Amazon. I've also occassionally gotten them from the supermarket, but not very often.

I've also just recently found the wonders of charity shops. I've found some fab books in there and for a bargain price too. I've also been known to buy the odd book from eBaby too.

I'm also a regular visitor to my local library as buying books can be a little expensive and I'm also beginning to run out of room to keep them.

  5. Hi everyone.

My name is Karen and I'm a bookaholic. I'm 25 years old and from Scotland and I love everything to do with books! I can't stop buying them for a start and I'm running out of room to keep them, but if I venture into a bookstore, the chances are I'll leave with at least one book. I blame all these three for two offers etc...I mean I just can't resist! I like a wide range of genres, other than sci-fi as I just can't seem to get into them, but I do tend to go through phases. Just now I'm focussed mainly on chick lit books. Mainly because they are easy to read, light-hearted and are perfect after a long hard day at work.

Anyway, feel free to stop by and say hi and if there's anything else you'd like to know, just ask.
