fantastic - went up in a helicopter!!. If you find planes exciting, this was a great place to be. I would love to go on that new air bus A380. Rog has got some fantastic photos.

Yes I have spotted that, but so far I am finding it easy to identify the stories based on original fairy tales.

I certainly dont read the books I first used to read, which was romantic tosh. I used to believe in falling in love and everything leading to a happy ending lol. I think my daughter influenced one change in me, it was she who introduced me to Anne Tyler for example and of course she led me on to this site. My taste has become much more eclectic and I will try any genre and any author, except perhaps horror. I am now very much influenced by the reviews of books I read about on here and will often either pick them up at my daughter's or in a local charity shop if I spot them. -
Started The Book of Lost Things by John Connolly. Havent got very far yet so no comment appropriate.

The Woman's weekly has a lovely knitted bag pattern this week. I am going to hang on to it and try to kid myself to knit it. What happened to that bag you knitted? Have you still got it?

The Hard Way is the usual Lee Child Jack Reacher story, but I am enjoying it. I will finish it today sometime, but it is just reaching the climax at this stage and there is a bit of horror which I am not looking forward to. May give me nightmares tonight. Dont know what to read next.

Grilled salmon for us tonight. No need for sarcasm O's I dont think. This comment should perhaps be on the debating forum. I care just as much as anyone for the underprivileged in the world.

OH cooked my dinner tonight because I was suffering. He did a lovely cottage pie with mashed sweet potato on top and servedit with gravy and frozen peas. Delicious. I dont mind if he does it again. I noticed in Sainsbury's last week that their onions (ordinary white ones) came from NEW ZEALAND!! So I sent for the manager and asked him to explain, when we are in the middle of the Sussex farming country why we cant have ENGLISH onions. I got a very convoluted explanation which told me that basically they cant get the supplies they need to satisfy consumer need from English/British suppliers, blah blah blah. The next day we went into our local town, where there is a small Sainsbury's and they had ENGLISH onions. It beggars belief doesnt it? I have decided to write to the head office about it now.

I finished Emma yesterday and started on The Hard Way by Lee Child yesterday evening. I thoroughly enjoyed Emma and could hardly put it down at times. Would recommend it to everyone.

Well I have to say that I really enjoyed this book even more than Pride and Prejudice, which is my favourite. I see Mr Knightly as another Darcy. Emma does redeem herself I agree and I am glad she found happiness in the end. The Eltons are totally despicable people, totally unlikeable.
