    BTW congrats on getting your review published in Newbooks. I would like to borrow Boy A so can you bring it with you on Saturday please? I have just read the write up of that in Newbooks and I really fancy it.

    I loved that scene too Janet, but my favourite is Lizzy turning Darcy down. Those 2 scenes jump out of the pages into real life for me. Do try and see the BBC video of this with Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle. They are absolutely perfect as Darcy and Lizzy. No other version can touch them. My stepson bought it for me for Christmas last year.

    I love Minette Walter's books. The most recent one I read was "A Devil's Feather" really scary story and very up to date.

    I dont think you could have spotted my invite to meet up with Kate (KB Marsh) and myself in Worthing on Thursday?? We will be meeting at around 11 am in front of the Pavilion.

    Was it a long read Robert? It sounds a very interesting and exciting delve into history.Are the facts presented researched and verified? It does sound as if it would lend itself to a Hollywood blockbuster, perhaps directed by Stephen Spielberg, maybe starring Russell Crow

    Saw a new advert I liked tonight, but I cant remember what it was advertising. It involved a soft toy peeping from behind a cushion and 2 giraffes coming to life and walking along someone's sideboard. I quite liked it.

    Talisman hasnt replied Kate, so no go I think. I am still reading Book of Air and Shadows. Still finding it quite strange and hard to read, but in a strange way I am enjoying it.

    No I am not affected by covers. I go for the author and/or title of book, then I read the inside flap or the back for a synopsis.

    Classic FM do a lot of compilation albums and also for specific instruments ones as well. If you go on their site I am sure you will find something suitable. You could find what you want and then look elsewhere (amazon) to buy it if its cheaper. Good hunting.

    Good thanks Nici. Today is the best I have had with my neck problem. I think it maybe because the OH has been giving me a massage every morning for the past 3 mornings. Really seems to help. I enjoyed Center Parcs when I went with Paula and the kids about 10 years ago now. Good fun, but a tad expensive I feel. Glad you are coping ok love xxx

    Nellie, the "illicit activity" you suggest, could form the basis of a story methinks Kate - I am already humming and harring about joining the U3A reading group. After I have tried it, I will let you know if I intend to continue and we can think about it. Use Worthing Library as a base perhaps?

    My OH reads as well and usually at bedtime. He is much slower reader than me. He sometimes reads books I have finished if I recommend them, but he doesnt always like the same books as me.

    Hi Kate, How are you feeling now. Better I hope. I am you are just as disappointed as me that we couldnt meet. Next week we are pretty busy, but there is a space on Thursday morning or afternoon. What do you think? How about you ring me that morning to see if you think you can manage to meet??
