  1. Smacked hand for angelOfBoox - you won't grow up to be big and strong that way! We had spanish omelette (well - kinda) eggs, potatoes, onions, red pepper, salami, garlic and cheese with rocket and cucumber salad and coleslaw - followed by ice-cream.
  2. Thanks for visiting us Sam, it's been great to have you here. I for one have really appreciated your detailed answers (Yes I know you've still one day left with us but if I don't say it now I'll probably forget)
  3. Happy reading LG and Ruth
  4. I read Triffids a month or so back. Absolutely loved it. Was thinking of going for Chocky next, but maybe I'll try The Kraken Awakes.
  5. Finished 11 months on Sunday, really enjoyed it in the end, although Chris bit could have been cut down a bit IMO. ETA: review of 11 months to come. Started The Mind of God by Paul Davis last night. A bit of light reading before bed, physics, maths and philosophy Still am determined to read it by xmas since it was a Christmas present (requested) last year.
  6. Happy Birthday!! Have a great day.

  7. Lol - aw, your OP made me laugh. Welcome. Enjoy
  8. But that doesn't mean 'most of the people who cut lanes and cause accidents' do so because of Sat Nav. What you mean is 'a lot of people who use sat navs cut lanes and cause accidents' Either way In any case I would dispute it. I know lots of people who use sat nav without a problem.
  9. How do you know that??!!
  10. Hi Pip - welcome on board
  11. Hi Spooncat, good to see you back on the forum (or maybe you have been around and I've just missed you)

Either way hi, hope you're doing OK.

  12. Southern fried chicken with baked beans and mash
  13. No I had mine for my birthday - I have a feeling Kell won the other one. Mine doesn't have a stamp or anything saying what number
  14. Tonight I discovered freeze dried strawberries coated in white chocolate from Asda. They were yummy. I can't eat normal chocolate so I scoffed loads of them like a starving man. They had the texture of malteasers but the flavour of strawberries. Will definitely be getting them again.
  15. Hi and welcome Horrorfan
  16. Hi and welcome
  17. Hi and welcome
  18. Wuthering Heights! It's a bit of work to get into I remember, but fantastic once you're there.
  19. Ah interesting. I think I am up for the horror aspect more than the story of a family aspect, so I found Chris bit frustrating in that way. Perhaps horses for courses then. Although as I say, I may go back and read it.
  20. Hi and welcome Bella. Enjoy
  21. I've now naughtily skipped straight to the final section - Sally's story, and I'm enjoying it much more than the middle section. I may return to Chris' story once I've finished.
  22. Mmm sounds lovely severnlad. 5 jars should keep you going awhile lol.
  23. I think the dog horn limited editions are 1000 copies.
  24. Hi and welcome. Nice to meet you
  25. Lol - Ive only just seen this. Thanks Gyre - sorry for the delayed reaction I did get it for my birthday and I'm only just reading it now
