Yup I'm looking forwad to this one too. I started reading one ages ago and for some reason didnt finish. I wish I had completed it now though, it was very well written.

Hi Aaron. Nice to meet you How are you enjoying The Picture of Dorian Gray? I read it last year and really liked it.

I have started doing that. It's made me realise how quickly I forget the meaning of a new word I've learned. I've taken to writing down the meaning too now!

I remember watching TV with one of my housemates once and an advert came on. It was for a carpet shop or tile shop or something. A big crowd of people were surging into the shop for the sales, and there, right at the front of the surge with a big cheesy grin was our other housemate!! Me and my housemate just looked at each other in astonishment. It was hilarious. The sneaky girl had done this ad without telling either of us. Not quite as impressive as Kell's story but it was very funny.

Sorry to hear that. I'm reading it at the moment and enjoying it. Expectations are key really aren't they?

Cheese and onion quiche, jacket potato and beans

spinach and ricotta pasta, chorizo and sundried tomato sauce (all from the asda chiller) and green salad. A quick dinner before our weekly shop, which is always on a Monday.

Finished Eats, Shoots and Leaves, an excellent, interesting and funny book that really brings the dusty subject of punctuation playfully to life. I found this short book a very entertaining read and learned stuff too , not just about usage, but also about the history of punctuation. Great stuff. 10/10. Next up: The Virgin Suicides Jeffery Eugenides.

Phew finally finished Guards! Guards! It was OK. I'm still set on reading a later work of TP but this one didn't blow me away. It was readable but not greatly engaging. It picked up towards the end but the characters did not interest me hugely. There were some very good bits, but overall I found the quality a bit patchy and the same with the humour; sometimes it made me laugh, sometimes it just irritated me. 5/10 Almost finished the excellent Eats shoots and leaves. Now does that require a comma?

I think they will all three be able to walk into good jobs from here though

I would have liked to have seen him say "That might not sound like a lot to the viewers but it's actually good progress" or something then. As an average viewer I feel like it needs some kind of comment. Otherwise or it just sounds a bit rubbish.

It's taking me soooo long to read this Terry Pratchett. I hadn't been enjoying it, I think I wasn't finding the characters very well drawn. The book isn't badly written and even makes me laugh but I was finding it difficult to picture what was going on and picture the characters. I was 2/3 in and very close to giving up. Last night however it picked up. I really enjoyed the bit where Less than a hundred pages to go now so hopefully I will enjoy the rest of it and pick up a bit of speed.
