  1. I love these guys too. I have their 11:11 album, but one of my favourites is their take on Stairway To Heaven. It starts off really slow and gentle but by the end it leaves you breathless (at about 2.50 it really starts to blow you away) They play with such passion.
  2. When I Was In Your Heart ~ David Gray
  3. My state of mind has a huge influence over what I read, but I think I do it unconsciously, so in a way it's a good way to gauge how well I'm coping. In the past, when I had bad depression I could only read very light, happy-ever-after stuff. It was a sort of escapism into a different safe world. The stronger I am mentally, the more I tend to read challenging books. But even so, it's good to alternate between books that need a lot of concentration and those that are a fun read. Books are a huge comfort to people and a good coping mechanism, so I don't think anyone should feel guilty about what ever they read at any given time
  4. I grew up watching the show too and loved it. He seemed to be such a lovely man in real life. Sad news.
  5. Learning To Fly ~ Tom Petty
  6. Ooh Wacka Do Wacka Day ~ Gilbert O'Sulivan
  7. To Love Somebody ~ Janis Joplin
  8. Son Of a Preacher Man ~ Dusty Springfield
  9. Janie's Got a Gun ~ Aerosmith
  10. That's one of my most favourite songs Muggles, and my favourite artist. Beautiful.
  11. Lay Down Your Guns ~ Jimmy Barnes
  12. We're definitely on the same page then Nika
  13. You're So Vain ~ Carly Simon
  14. I rather like some of Tools. They have the most unusual rolling sound about their music, I don't know how to describe it. But I think I prefer to listen to it without the videos
  15. Oh yes!! She's wonderful. I have Lungs and love it. I love people with distinctive voices and her music is so original. Do you like Regina Spektor Nika? My favourite one of hers is Samson, but I've already posted that one in this thread. This is another lovely one.....
  16. I've got Sigh No More and absolutely love it. Here's one of their's Dex .....
  17. Waiting For A Girl Like You ~ Foreigner
  18. Water For Elephants. It wasn't bad, but I enjoyed the book way more. Didn't feel either Robert Pattinson or Reese Witherspoon would have been my first choices to act the parts, but Christoph Waltz was excellent as August. The book set the mood of a struggling circus during the depression, the cut-throat tactics and the eccentric characters involved, far more powerfully.
  19. Some Days Are Diamonds ~ John Denver
  20. Beautiful photos, June. Wonderful scenery and I love the buildings.
  21. This one is for Muggles
  22. Sweet Child of Mine ~ Guns n' Roses
  23. I'm sure that was just pure cheek on your part, after I was complaining about our weather! It's really easy Muggles. Just find the song on Youtube and copy and paste the http. thingy at the top of the page, onto your reply. It automatically comes up with the clip. You just get as out of control as you want! (how could I deny some-one who patiently explained to me how to upload pictures through tinypics, many moons ago ??)
