  8. I thought for a start that this was a fictional book but see that it's a real-life diary. And it's FREE on the Kindle! (amazon.com anyway). Thank you so much for sharing this VF, it sounds fascinating. I love true war stories.
  9. The only books by H.E Bates I've read are the Larkin ones (which I must admit I enjoyed thoroughly) but I have started reading 'The Purple Plain' on two occasions. 15. I can understand why it's your comfort drink, it has a very soothing effect. I was put off Chai Latte originally because i thought it was just going to be a sweet milky tea. I don't drink tea with sugar and couldn't really imagine it made with milk. But it's got a lovely flavour, I'll definitely try making it at home. I've still got to track down some cardamon pods, but I think there is a little shop in town that will have them.
  16. I've been meaning to make this bree, after you sent me the recipe. I had a Chai Latte for the first time the other day and thought it was rather lovely and imagine Masala Chai would be something similar?
  17. Strangely dex, I couldn't find another song with 'Manalishi' in it, so I've had to go with the 'Green'. A Certain Shade of Green ~ Incubus
