  1. I'd really like a dog but I'm missing my Lion Cubby (cat) and I don't think he'd take kindly to a dog, so ...... Lion Cubby Whiskers Cat Biscuits (the only thing he will eat. He was a wild cat and turns his nose up at fish) Since everyone is growing things, I think I'll get a large packet of wild flower seeds to brighten the place up. The watering can will have to wait till next time. (GG, I haven't tried Wensleydale cheese. It is available here, I see one advertised with cranberries .....a mere $10 - $12 for about 150 gms I usually use Colby)
  2. Your trip sounds fantastic Talisman. Are you going to post any photos? ....they would be wonderful to see.

  4. Burning In the Skies ~ Linkin Park
  5. Funeral For a Friend / Loves Lies Bleeding ~ Elton John
  6. Desert Island Supplies are very slow, they use snail mail. I use Desert Island Superfast Courier Services and my fruit cake has already arrived, so I'll send some over to you guys. Your Christmas cakes sound delectable GG, it's only recently I heard of eating cheese with Christmas cake, and they go superbly well together. (I've always liked sweet things with cheese and for years ate jam and cheese sandwiches for lunch at school every day. Also marmalade and cheese are very yummy on toast.) I wonder how Sharpe, Chef and Chief are getting on?? Any news of skirmishes breaking out?? Sounds like a pretty volatile mix. And Vimes, have you got Rincewind down from the coconut tree yet? Does he like fruit cake? Perhaps you could tempt him down with that. And you asking for binoculars reminded me I wanted some too, so ............ A pair of binoculars A camera A camp oven (I'm going to make bread) ps give Calypso a big hug and pat from me GG, he sounds adorable.
  7. A Kiss To Send Us Off ~ Incubus
  8. My favourite fruit would have to be apricots but I eat just about any fruit I've ever met. The only one I don't like is the banana passionfruit, it made me sick once when I was a child (they used to grow wild where I lived) and I've never liked them since.
  9. It's gorgeous Poppyshake!! What a clever hubby you have! But I love the wood, I see on your other post you want to paint it.

  17. lol. Read my latest Never Ending Song post At least it won't go off! And this probably makes me an absolute philistine, but I prefer my wine room temperature, I reckon it has far more flavour like that

  21. GG would you stop trying to send all your excess males over to me!! One at a time is quite enough to contend with. And I don't think I ever want to let Hugh go, he's just marvellous. He's musical, has a great sense of humour and reads beautifully. He's reading me Jeeves and Wooster stories and does a marvellous impersonation of Bertie. Funny that OK I better get that fruit cake, make it very large please and very moist with heaps of apricots, walnuts and containing every type of dried fruit imaginable. An assortment of musical instruments including a grand piano, guitars, a banjo, harmonicas, a mandolin, drums and a couple of maracas for good measure (I'm sure they come in job lots). Hugh and I are going to start a band. A hammock
