Hmmm the DNA sounds very intriguing! If you buy it, be sure to stop buy and we can go into more depth about the book. I'll be happy to discuss it with you :-) Hopefully the DNA evidence has citations or references that can be checked by the reader? To be convinced, I would probably want to check out something so amazing as that. IF it's true ( not saying it's not or it is ) then that's certainly food for thought and would be quite compelling.

Made from scratch! here is the recipe! Here it is :-) Serve these pancakes with butter and syrup OR BOTH! INGREDIENTS: 2 cups all-purpose flour, stirred or sifted before measuring 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 egg, slightly beaten 1 1/2 cups milk 2 tablespoons melted butter PREPARATION: Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. In a separate bowl, combine egg and milk; add to flour mixture, stirring only until smooth. Blend in melted butter. Cook on a hot, greased griddle, using about 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake. Cook until brown on one side and around edge; turn and brown the other side. Recipe for pancakes serves 4. :-)

I haven't read the book. You say nobody will discuss it with you so here is my point of view I won't look at you like you are mad either ;-) My personal view is that it seems whenever a star dies it has to be that they are not really dead or they were murdered. Jim Morrison, Elvis, Princess Di, the list is exhaustive. I think that people want stars/celebs to be bigger than real life in everything they do and nobody wants to believe they are just like joe plumber or dave builder and they die just like everybody else. Having not read the book I would just say you need to think about 2 things. Firstly, how difficult it would be to keep your death quiet. I mean the list of people is almost endless. Secondly, there are FAR more easy ways to vanish than to fake your own death. Just get a fake ID and move country. It's THAT simple. Occam's Razor says "The explanation should make as few assumptions as possible" For example if we see an apple missing from the tree we can think that gravity was at work, IE it fell. This is the explanation with the least assumptions so the most probable and therefore right explanation. If our theory were something like somebody were passing who had such a strong craving for apples they had to break into the field and steal the apple although this COULD be true it's not very likely ( it has more assumptions ) Occam's Razor says: Elvis is dead. You can come up with an amazing theory with all kinds of what ifs but it's ( IMHO ) very unlikely to be true to the point of almost impossibility... that said, you never know! What is the main theory of the book?

Hush puppies are fried corn breads, normally sweeter than corn bread, so I think they must put a little sugar in it? Oh, which reminds me is it corn dogs(?) which are hot dogs on a stick covered in hush puppy batter! Yuuumy. You can get hush puppies at Long John silver, I'm pretty sure :-)

How many pages I read depends on so many factors; it can be anything from zero to 100. I think the average is probably around 30 to 50 pages. I'm not really a fast reader.

I made American style pancakes for breakfast today with plenty of maple syrup poured over them! I have had them in the U.S quite a number of times, but never attempted to make them myself. Turned out really well! I was really pleased and so were my taste buds! What did you have for breakfast?

Here is if you want to make it from scratch without using carcass: ( note, I don't work from a recipe so I have to guess the amounts ) Ingredients 1 large try of chicken thighs 1 or 2 large spanish onion 1 large can creamed corn ( sweet corn will do if you can't get it ) 2 large beef tomato dill salt and pepper to taste Method 1) Heat the pan on quiet a high heat till it's smoking a bit, and then add the chicken bits. Fry till it's lightly browned. The high heat will give rise complex flavours. 2) Once chicken is fried put the chicken into a HUGE pot. Slice the onion(s) into quarters and throw it in the pot. Do the same with the tomato. Pour in the can of creamed corn of sweet corn. ( OPTIONAL ) at this point you can add some chilli if you like, i find it's nice but it's not for everybody! 3) add water. This bit needs a bit of practice and judgement because you don't want to add too much or the soup will be too watery and not enough isn't good either. Just cover the chicken with maybe an inch to spare? Anyway, that should be about right but experiement and you will get it right. Cook REALLY slowly with the lid on for around an hour then remove the lid and cook really slowly for till the chicken is falling from the bone. This is about 3 - 4 hours total cooking time. Remember to skim the fat/scum off the top from time to time. 4) take the chicken out and debone it. Place chicken bits into a bowl and scoop liquid into bowls.

Hi honey, I'm home! Not new, but back again! Life had swept me away, that and I wasn't really reading at all so it made little sense to be posting to a book forum. I'm reading now again ( yay! ) and life is less crazy. Thanks to an email from Kell. I am back again, so you know who to blame Anyway, good to be back. A big hello to those old and new faces!

I have read a few of this books and like him. I think he is a very imaginative writer that never writes the typical "horror" or "fantasy." I haven't read Weaveworld but I have it in my enormous snow covered book shelf ;-)

I just regard my books like anything else that own and would lend somebody. Be it a book, DVD, game, album, or whatever I expect them to treat it with care and return it in the condition that I lent it
