  1. The old WH40k books are a bit hit or miss, but you should try the new Horus Heresy books are very character driven and well writeen. Dan Ablett is a good writer, he has even written some of the Dr Who books. Some are good, others are bad - they do allow for a lot of new authors to make an impact.
  2. Very good books, I like her writing style.
  3. Needfull things and IT amongst others.
  4. I like the "Damnation Game", the books of blood are a good read as well. I like SK's use of lovecraftian elements and themes. Surprisingly, one book which the name defeats me, I think its called 53 Bresial place is very good. Its a series of short ghost stories centered around the same house. The Necroscope series are very good as well.
  5. I suppose she had the pout down to a t, its something to hold onto
  6. Pendergast is my favourate as well!
  7. Nope, not today.

  8. I bloomin' well do.
  9. If I put the book down and leave it, I very rarely go back. It has to be dire to stop me reading in the first place - By the light of the moon, D. Koontz - I'm looking at you.
  10. The acting was not too bad, she played an idiot well.
  11. 1: Remember me, Harlan Coben. I will never get that time back. The story and characterisation just makes me angry. 2: By the light of the moon, Dean Koontz. One to avoid. 3: Witch Star, James Clemens. Spend the first four books creating a fresh and original world and mythology then destroy it with mundanity in the last book. Vey disappointing. 4: The Beast House, Richard Laymon. The world of books is not reduced with his passing. Harsh, but true. 5.Brave New World, Huxley. No, just no.
  12. It was cool, but I wish it held back some info. It gave too much away!
  13. You are made of cheese and Ducks.

  14. Its a side effect of mass cloning?
  15. I liked the bit.
  16. The creature feature was a tad pants, but the actual story and interaction was solid. A good start methinks.
  17. Inspired by the "whats the last thread you saw at the flicks", what is the best movie you have watched at the cinema? Mine would probably have to be the matrix, but then the lord of the rings trilogy are runners up. Whats yours?
  18. Thats neither here nor there.
  19. I like to watch the one episode a week, I avoid spoilers but I do like to talk about the one aired on bbc2. Not everyone watches the next one on bbc3.
  20. The actual torchwood bits were a tad boring but the spooky parts were good. I like the open ended conclusion to the bad guy, like the glove from season one.
  21. The Face is a really good book, a very entertaining read.
  22. Looking to be a very good spooky episode tonnight.
  23. Just finished reading Y the last man. Its a very good GN, which I think lots of people will love.
  24. Oh I know that, been watching dr who since I was toderling, they made a huge point of him not breathing but overlooked the bog fact that he was talking. A tad lazy.
  25. I think for the time it was astounding, its important to remember that Dracula is a love story with aspects of horror. If you tackle it with that in mind, the book reads easier.
