  1. Thanks. I have borrowed 20 books so far this year from the library, considerably less than usual. Our library allows us to keep 6 books on hold at a given time. I usually put a hold on the new releases and/or more popular books. I don't mind waiting for them to become available. There are many other books that I am interested in that are available immediately for me to download to my kindle while I wait on the others. Sometimes I will buy a book for my kindle if I want to keep the book or if I want to read it immediately. I usually purchase about 3 or 4 digital books a year. I really love libraries and believe they are a great source for books.
  2. Where Have All The Flowers Gone - Peter Paul & Mary (What, poppy and madeleine make a mistake! Say it isn't so.)
  3. Ah, glad that you enjoyed it. Where The Crawdads Sing is one of my favorite books. Kya was a special person. 21. The Cruelest Month - Louise Penny - 4/5. This may be one of my favorites of the Armand Gamache series by Penny Louise, at least so far.
  4. I'm Left, You're Right, She's Gone - Elvis Presley
  5. Don't Think Twice, It's All Right - Bob Dylan
  6. The 2005 vintage La Rioja Alta Vina Ardanza is simply one of the best wines I have had. I only have 1 bottle of that vintage left. I also recently purchased 7 bottles of the 2009 vintage La Rioja Alta Gran Reserva 904 wine and 9 bottles of the 2009 vintage La Rioja Alta Vina Ardanza but have not opened any of them yet although I am anxious to try them as I have high hopes.
  7. I do hope that you read "Where The Crawdads Sing". I also hope that you like the book as much as I did. Ah, Kya. What a special person. You have a lot of enjoyment in front of you and a few tears to wipe.
  8. Now I am worried that I have built up Where The Crawdads Sing so much that you will be disappointed in it.
  9. I don't know if any of you have been watching the 2 hr episode showing the actors during the making of the show. All the actors were around a table for the last episode when they were informed that Jon snow was to kill Daenrys in the last show.. Jon Snow broke down in tears and then Daenrys also. The stress on some of the actors / actresses was high knowing that the show was ending. Jon snow is in rehab in the U.S. He had a hard time dealing with it (among other things). https://www.msn.com/en-us/tv/celebrity/kit-harington-checked-into-treatment-center-for-wife-rose-leslie/ar-AAC5Q90?ocid=spartandhp I recommend viewing the 2 hr episode showing the filming of the series.
  10. People Got To Be Free - The Rascals
  11. You are in for a treat. I just read an interview with the author, Delia Owens, done by Amazon. You shouldn't read the interview though until after reading the book. The book has been a best seller in the U.S. for 10 months now and it still is ranked #1. Owens was afraid that no one would read her book. She is overwhelmed that people are enjoying the book. Turns out it is the most popular debut novel in recent memory. It has similarities to "To Kill A Mockingbird" in writing style (at least to me).
  12. 20. Still Life - Louise Penny - 3.5 - 4. I would probably rate this book closer to a 4 . It was the type of book where you could get involved with all the characters, and there were many of them. I enjoy a book like this once in a while where it isn't fast paced and you can just enjoy the reading. This book certainly did introduce you to all the people in the Canadian town of "Three Pines".
  13. Do You Remember - Phil Collins
  14. Moments To Remember - The Four Lads
  15. I Forgot To Remember To Forget - Johnny Cash
  16. I did not know that. Ygritte was then wrong when she told Jon Snow "You know nothing Jon Snow". He knew enough to marry Ygritte.
  17. All In All it was one of the greatest TV series I believe. I don't recall a series that had so many different characters and all interesting in their own right. Do you remember the woman that Jon Snow was in love with.....You know nothing Jon Snow. I really liked her.
  18. Purple People Eater - Sheb Wooley
  19. I loved the ending. Almost everyone got what they deserved. A spinoff series featuring Arya in her adventures West of Westeros would be nice.
  20. I am glad that Jaime and Cersei are finally gone. Both deserved to depart. Actually, I liked Daenerys until the last episode. As for Arya, she has worked her way through good and bad in all the episodes. She deserves any good fortune that comes to her. Sansa has changed quite a bit through time. At this point I think she is a good person. Shall good be victorius or shall bad. Tonight we shall find out.
  21. Welcome to the forum. Tell us a little about the type books that you like.
  22. If I Told You Who It Was - Johnny CashJohnny Cash
  23. All I Have To Do Is Dream - Everly Brothers
  24. These Boots Were Made For Walkin' - Nany Sinatra (hey Chrissy, don't stay away so long)
