I am going to share part of an email my GD sent me this evening, don't usually do this but I consider it an exception. From my GD: I might do Hood to Coast next year. That's out in the west coast. It's another 200 mile relay type race. It's very prestigious hard to get into. My racing team got in now to decide if I want to run it or not! Did I tell you I qualified for Boston and will be running that marathon in April. I had a fast qualifying time so I got to sign up the first day! I'm running the fastest times of my life this year! I love it. Got to do it now while I'm still young.

My GD ran in a 200 mile relay race recently from Cumberland, Maryland to National Harbor, DC. The relay team she was on (total of 12 people)came in second place. She ran a total of 18+ miles in the relay in different stages. This is a video of some of the run featuring GD's team.

All one has to do is take a look at all the books King has sold. It isn't like he is an unknown author. All authors have some people that don't like their writing but then again, there are some like King that have many, many, fans of their writing. I just bought The Shining as I hadn't read the book and wanted to read it before reading the new one which seems to be getting good reviews.

like poppy, I don't recall ever eating a fruit that I didn't like. I probably eat more apples and peaches than any other type of fruit but only because they are easily obtainable from the orchards. My wife made an apple pie (from Piney River Gold apples) last week and it was great, one of the better pies she has made. Berries - I love blackberries and blueberries. I also like strawberries and raspberries. Blackberry pie with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream is wonderful.
