  1. In the Midnight Hour - Wilson Pickett
  2. I also have a problem with small print and it is "one" of the reasons I like the kindle. As a minimum, I have probably tripled my reading since I got the kindle. btw, when are you going to read the Kazam series by Fforde.
  3. Now Is The Hour - Hayley Dee Westenra
  4. I read both. I give the edge to Where We Belong.
  5. Your next read of CRH is recommended to be Where We Belong. It is a favorite of mine, and I believe, Athena's.
  6. I Wonder Who's Kissing Her Now - Ray Charles
  7. Generally speaking, I believe that Kristin Hannah is an author favored more by females. However, my wife assures me that Nightingale is a book for all. It was on the best seller list for a long time here in the U.S. and is still ranked very high. I am about 15% into the book and am loving it.
  8. Don't Sit Under the Apple Tree - Glenn Miller
  9. How far are you into Watchman? I hope you enjoy the second Flavia de Luce book as much as I did. I will start my 6th Flavia book probably after I finish Nightingale.
  10. I am starting to read, tonight, “Nightingale” by Kristin Hannah. I have high hopes for this book as it has been recommended highly by several people. 34. Speaking From Among The Bones – Alan Bradley – 8/10 - a good read and it makes the next book (book 6) in the Flavia de Luce series a must read. 33. All The Light We Cannot See – Anthony Doerr – 8.5/10 – see Chaliepud’s review of the book (coming soon) although I think I liked it more than she did? 32. – The Sweetness At the Bottom of the Pie – Alan Bradley 8/10
  11. Did you stop reading Jasper Fforde. The Kazam series is pretty good, especially the 3rd book. Ah, the library just emailed me that Nightingale is ready for me to download. Timing is good as I am just finishing book 5 of the Alan Bradley Flavia series.
  12. It has been hinted that her sister had been looking after Harper in recent years and helping her with decisions. Her sister has passed away now. I suspect that someone else will now be "getting" some of her "marbles" with the publication of the book.
  13. Sunday Morning Coming Down - Johnny Cash (written by Kris Kristofferson)
  14. Welcome aboard to both of you. I have been a member of the BCF for a little while.
  15. How far along are you with "All The Light We Cannot See"? I am waiting for your review.
  16. My favorite Rioja's are the La Rioja Alta Gran Reserva "904" and the La Rioja Alta Reserva "Vina Ardanza". I currently have 13 bottles of the aforementioned from 3 vintages.....1998, 2001, and 2004. What Countries do you like for the Merlot.
  17. Have you tried Jasper Fforde or Neil Gaiman?
  18. How are you doing with Take Me With You?
  19. A nice Rioja from Spain is also very good drinking. We also enjoy the reds, especially with pastas (red sauce) and I like it with beef (wife doesn't eat beef). We like the whites though with seafood.
  20. It is difficult "not" to like Spieth. He plays a great game and has a wonderful personality. I believe he will be the next greatest name in golf since Tiger Woods. Spieth and Dustin Johnson are probably the favorites in the Open but as we all know it is anyone's game.
  21. I browsed through the video Athena....wow, that is a lot of books. Do you have them in alphabet order.
  22. I would be happy to share the blueberries with you. Will you share the muffins.
  23. I have read most of Terry Pratchett's books, but not all. I also like the Tiffany Aching series and think I will give The Shepherd's Crown a go. It is difficult to lose an author that you really enjoy.
  24. It's Now Or Never - Elvis Presley
  25. Ok, lets agree to disagree. However, I find it hard to believe that Harper would wait until she was 89 years old to publish the book if someone else wasn't pushing for it. We also need to remember that To Kill A Mockingbird is a work of fiction. As a work of fiction I prefer to keep Atticus as a hero that is looked up to in TKAM.
