  3. I am about 16% into "To Say Nothing About the Dog" by Connie Willis and am enjoying it so far. However, I may have to put it on hold as I have Stephen King's latest book, Never Flinch, on hold at the library and it should be available for me soon. I can't turn down the Stephen King book as there are 197 people that are in line for the kindle book.

  5. I know that this belongs in the TV/Entertainment thread but I wanted to post it here to get the most viewers. Last night (Saturday) CNN broadcast a live performance on CNN of the hit Broadway show by George Clooney titled Good Night and Good luck. It was great to see a live performance again as spectacular as this one and on live TV. George Clooney was awesome in the lead role as the legendary TV announcer Edward R. Murrow. In fact all of the performers were great. If you get a chance to see a re-run of this show i strongly recommend it.   6. This song is going viral in the U.S. and is starting to catch on in other Countries, especially France. It is a song by Connie Francis back in, I think, 1960. Connie Francis, now 87 yrs old, says that she is thrilled that people are playing one of her songs and remember her. Connie Francis is the 1st female singer in the pop field to reach #1 on the Billboard Chart with her song "Everybody is Somebody's Fool".

  15. We had a nice dinner tonight. i grilled steak on the gas grill and my wife sauteed a pan of mushrooms and we had 3 baked potatoes (one and a half for each of us). The potatoes were especially good as they were cooked a little longer than usual. I had butter, cheese, and sour cream on my potatoes.

  17. 8.Robert B. Parker's "Buried Secrets" - Christopher Farnsworth - 4/5 - A Jesse Stone series novel. Good story and differentiates good from bad. Book was worth reading to me.

  22. I will have to read more of her work. She has quite a history in the SF field of writing, a few of her awards: She was inducted by the Science Fiction Hall of Fame in 2009[6][7] and the Science Fiction Writers of America named her its 28th SFWA Grand Master in 2011.[8]
  23. 7. The Road to Roswell - Connie Willis - 4.5 - Loved the story and most all of the characters Especially Indy and Francie. Teaching an Alien how to converse was fun to read. The book had many funny moments in it.
