  1. I have just moved into my first house, so at the moment they are all still in boxes. (apart from the ones ive snook out) But it also means that soon I too will be making a trip to Ikea. Before they were on a shelf in my bedroom, of course i have had to leave them behind as my brother has now taken over.
  2. I am so bad when people lend me books. I start to worry knowing it would be rude not to lend them some of mine. One of the things I do, is loan them out from the Library, and them pass them to the friend. I just carnt stand the thought of my books looking read.
  3. In bed, But at the moment spending alot of time in my Car in my lunch hour. (its the only way I can get away from the question "Is it good?":irked:)
  4. I thought it was a good book, I have tried to read one of her books before and gave up. I think it was called Pandora. I thought I was going to find this a hard read when I saw the character list but found it okay after a few chapters. Def a good holiday read.
  5. Hopefully I wont have as much of a problem soon, as me and my boyfriend are about to buy our first house. He likes his TV and computer, hopfully leaving me to my books. The only problem is, the first few weeks will be probably spent decorating!
  6. The last show I saw was La Nouba, Cirque Du Soleil. It was amazing, I was not to sure at first when my boyfriend got tickets, but id def go again. It at Downtown Disney in Orlando.
  7. So far its got to be I Know his Much Is True by Wally Lamb.
  8. I have never done this before until last month. Both books were over 800 pages I think. Its not something I would rush to do again, but I wouldnt rule it out. I read Wicked by Jilly Cooper and I Know This Much Is True by Wally Lamb. I think I managed it as they were two very different books.
  9. Yes I find it spoils it. I used to read all the Jill Mansell books, but because of that reason I dont bother anymore. I must admit though, im not really good at guessing endings, but then again I dont really think about it much really.
  10. I read the autobiography to get the gossip when it first came out. I used to be into celeb gossip, but im not anymore. I thought it was a waste of money as most of it you already knew about from the papers and magazines. That was def my last one. I think. Yes, no more.
  11. The book shop was not as good as I remembered, but I did come away with the true Black Dailia. Ive not read it yet though. I did buy lots more books but only the one was True Crime. Heavy suitcase!
  12. I always did it when I was younger, and it would drive my mum mad. I dont do it anymore, because the last time I did it I found out somebody died. I was gutted, so that has stopped me know.
  13. How embarressing, for some stupid reason I thought it was May. I thought it had come round quick. Ill blame it on work, its messing my head up.
  14. Has anybody read the new book? Ive not bought it, but im not that far into the series yet. I want to know what your thoughts are!
  15. I read this book a while ago, dont remember not enjoying it, but it does not stand out as a good book. I have just been on Amazon, and it looks like somebody else thought the people in the book were unlikeable. Maybe give up and try some other time, you never know you may enjoy it then.
  16. Yes it was, very sick! I have not read some of the books mentioned by you, so ill be putting them on my list. Im going to Florida in about 4 weeks, and there is this great book shop there, that does all Crime really cheap. My boyfriend hates it!
  17. I really loved reading True Crime a while back, anybody else read it? Think it makes a change from Fiction now and again. I do get some strange looks if anybody sees what i'm reading! My favourite of all I have read, is a book about Ed Gein.
  18. I found IT really hard to read, but I did manage to read it all:b7ydance: . I have just started Cell, finding ok but noticed its not classed as his best work. I have only read IT, The Shining, and The Green Mile, so its not like I have alot to go off, this one is a bit weird though.
  19. Just started reading my first Mandasue book The Front. I am enjoying it but dont think its as gripping as Martina Cole. But shock, she did mention my home town:D , and that never happens.
  20. I know this is not the right thread, but as its been in this thread, has anybody seen The Dresden Files on Sky two? I only saw the end is it any good? I have ret to read any of the books.
  21. I Keep all of mine unless they were really bad. When me and my boyfriend move in together, he wants a computer room and I want my own mini Library!
  22. Thank you all, for you ideas. Its nice to know im not the only one. This lunch time there were that many people about, I went and sat and read in my car! Was lovley though as I work by the Mersey, so its nice and peaceful as there just tends to be alot of fishermen about. I like the idea of pretending to listen to music, at least if they try to talk to you, you dont feel so bad ignoring them.
  23. I am still at home yet to fly the nest, and am having major problems trying to read without being spoken to. Ive tried telling them im going for a read tried hiding away and im still found. Must admit I find it harder to concentrate than I used to, I need utter silence now so the t.v drives me mad! I dont think it helps that im the odd one out when it comes to reading, they all think im weird. Imagine that! Does anybody else have the same problem and what do you do? I may sound really anti-social, but reading its how I rewind after a long day at work. Am thinking maybe a huge pair of ear defenders?
  24. Just finished reading Guilty Pleasures, I really enjoyed it so im on the look out for the next one now! I must say Wraith, it has put me off Laurell K. Hamilton a bit though, after reading her rant.
  25. Thanks Wraith, will have a look at the Rachael Harrison site on my lunch break! Oh my god, there is just to to many books to read! I need to book time off work, to get through some.
