Hi Hammy. I think you were here when I joined, but then disappeared. Was it something I said? Or worse still...do I smell? LOL But, whether we've met before or not, I do remember your website. Very impressed! Great to have you back. (Now I've grovelled can I have a choccy biccy;)) Pp -
Hiya Kenny! Welcome aboard! You will love it, and I look forward to reading your reviews. By the way, has your mum sorted those conkers yet? We want her to bring some to the next coffee session! Pp
-
High Purplegrape! Welcome to here. You will have a whale of a time, I'm sure as everyone here is very friendly and full of recommendations. So get stuck in! Pp

Hi again Stuart. My OH is an Aberdonian born and bred, and loved the fact that the stories are set in Aberdeen. Obviously public places are 'real' but the descriptions of private homes etc looked like they'd been disuised a bit, presumably to make sure there are no repercussions...or am I talking drivel? Pp -
Echo said, Go girl! Nice work

Yay! The advertising in Libraries works. I wonder who left the ad there? Anybody...Echo? Anyway a big welcome Child.of.God.1989. Pp

Hi Severnlad. Welcome abroad. I liked Angela's Ashes, but found it a little depressing. It's a beautifully written book, an honest account of how life was for some folk. We have it lucky. I haven't read Tis. I'm sure you'll fit in here very well. Enjoy! Pp

nicnic said Oh nicnic, don't be shy. I must admit I felt shy and anxious when I first began showing my work, but folk on here are very kind and helpful, so I hope you take the plunge soon. By the way...I don't think I asked you before, but whereabouts are you in Gateshead? I used to work for Gateshead council, and although living in Aberdeen now, return once or twice a year to stay with my kids and their families. Sorry, slightly off track here... So, come on, Adam and nicnic, I'm sure your work will be appreciated on this forum. Pp

Oh my goodness Stuart! I didn't realise you were already around LOL. But it is nevertheless true. You took the time to talk to everyone individually on the day we met you. It's much appreciated. Pp -
Hi Adam. Welcome to the forum. I have already appreciated your humour (on the christmas shopping thread), and know that you will fit in here very nicely. I hope we can help take your mind off things passed, so plunge in , and at some point, tell us about this book you are writing. Quite a few of us write on here, and some are very successful! I look forward to reading your posts. Pp

This is the impetus to get reading again! I still have the second and third books to read. And folks, he is such a lovely man...takes time to talk to everyone! -
Hi again KirstyKat, from another cat lover. We have four and one of them, a black one is called Millie! I welcomed you on Korrie's intro thread so won't repeat it all again. Glad yo are on your own thread and enjoying it. Looking forward to chatting. Pp:D

Hi Korrie. You have come to the right place! I joined about 16 months ago, and like you I felt a bit out of my depth, not recognising authors and titles, but you soon catch up and find out which ones interest you. It's a good place to be. Hi KirstyKat . Glad you found us. Don't be shy... just jump in. No one will ever criticise or question your choices in a disparaging way, as our mods would squash it straight away. So test the water, knowing that everyone is here to help and welcome you. I think Michelle will move your post to your own introductory thread, where we can give you a proper welcome. Go girls! Enjoy! Pp

Hiya. Welcome to the forum. I think you will enjoy it here and find lots of new reading material. I look forward to reading your posts. Pp

Hiya! Welcome to the forum. Wuthering Heights is great. I reckon she wrote it deliberately as she looked into the future and saw Kate Bush...ah well... I'm sure you'll love it here. Enjoy Pp

Hi Willowfae. Welcome to the forum, which, as you will have gathered, is very friendly, and very lively. My children used to have lots of Usborne books. Loved them. Look forward to chatting with you Pp
-
Hi Katie Welcome to the forum. Its great to have another writer and there are quite a few of us from or living in Scotland. So feel free to quizz us! Pp (also waving from Aberdeen!)
-
Hiya Jazz. I don't think you will have any problems fitting in here. Looks like you are one of us already! Pp

Hi babypinkcandygirl. Welcome to the forum from an ex Washington resident, but now in Aberdeen. There are quite a few from Tyneside on the forum. I did an English Lit degree at The university of Northumbria, but didn't finish it due to life issues getting in the way. Some of the books on your list were on our reading lists too. I think you'll enjoy them. Anyway, have a good time on the forum. Pp
-
Hi Yo-Yo. Welcome to the forum. (Sorry this is a bit late...not been around much lately) I too gave away about 300 books as I had to move and couldn't take them with me, and a couple of years before that I had a sort out and gave away another 200 or so. It's heart-breaking. I'm sure you'll love the forum. Have fun Pp
-
Hi Heather. Welcome to the forum. Another Scot! Quite a clan here now! I have not, (unlike just about everyone else here), read any Stephen King, although The Green Mile is one of my favourite films and I didn't realise until the last time I saw it, a few weeks ago that it was a Stephen King book. Perhaps I shall dip my toes... Anyway, enjoy the forum. Pp
-
Hi Susanne. (Good name ) A big welcome! You sound like just the kind of person to fit in here perfectly. But you will need more bookshelves and your family will need to be even more alert to the dangers of you and bookstores! Enjoy the forum. I look forward to discussing books with you. Pp (AKA Susanna)

Hi! A belated welcome from me too. I am sure you will love the forum. I hope so. The forum members are also very supportive, so once you've got to know us all, don't hesitate to vent your spleen or ask for a shoulder to cry on. Lets hope the next op for Kaitlyn will do the trick and be the last! Enjoy the forum. Pp
