I can't STAND those Cravendale adverts with the strained voice crying out, "Miiillkk!" - they drive me nuts!

I agree - and the shavings look horribly like parmesan cheese - ick!

I tend to get hold of several episodes and watch them all at once, so I get a good run-up of story arc and it's easier not to miss things that way.

No, I caught it too and had it confirmed by the names on the tombstone, but then, I'm obsessive about DH and think it's just getting better and better!

Must be because books cost less than cinema trips and restaurants - and you get a longer enjoyment from them too. :readingtwo:

This is why I put them on my wish list and then ask for books instead of Easter eggs, and for anniversary, birthday and Xmas prezzies - LOL!

My thoughts: Although still every bit as predictable as the previous two books, I actually enjoyed this one more - more action; more bang for your buck! There are also several situations coming to a head that make for breakneck pacing and sends you hurtling through the book lickety-split! Although I was still gagging a fair bit over the lovey-doviness of Bella and Edward, Jacob came more to the fore this time round and meant that Bella had a major dilemma to contemplate, and the back-and-forth nature of exchanges made for more interesting reading than the previous novels in the series. Alice also seemed to play a greater role this time round and, although she was too sweet to be true, I didn't find her at all annoying - rather she endeared herself to me in a way that no other character has done (although Jacob came closer than any of the others). It was also great getting a little more of the background stories of the rest of the Cullens, as well as some more of the Quileute history/legends. It was worth reading the other two books just in order to get to this one, and hopefully Breaking Dawn will prove to be worth the wait too. That's coz it's not a new series - they just had a break in the middle.

I much prefer being able to browse in a shop, but I love the convenience of online shopping (I never would have managed Xms last year without it!).

I used to type quotes up and pin them to a cork board in my room so I could see them whenever I was passing.

Have to admit, I don't "do" lent. I don't really have anything left to give up - I don't smoke, I very rarely drink and my chocolate consumption is WAY down since I decided to shift the excess weight NOW. If I give up anything else, life will be very dull indeed - the only things I have left to give up are reading and cross stitch and I'm just not willing to do that!

We'll be having ours tomorrow as we were too busy today. I like either just lemon on mine or something savoury like curry or chilli with mine...

I really enjoyed it - keep going - it's not a long book anyway...

I'm disappointed that Heath Ledger won as although he gave a good performance, I really do believe that if he'd still been alive, he wouldn't have been nominated at all. When you see who he was up against, I think the others have been unnecessarily slighted there! VERY pleased that Kate Winslet got the award and rather pleased that Sean Penn got some recognition too.

I'm actually disappointed that Slumdog got so much attention and so many awards - I thought it a very average film. What rankles most is that it got Best Adaptation when it's nothing like the flippin' book!

Those bands didn't work on me either - they just dug into my wrists and hurt me eventually!
