  1. Stuffing plastic eggs now for the basket and wondering where all this chocolate is going to go!
  2. I finally get to The Skull Throne review! This computer mess bites. I know you struggled with the dictionary/ glossary. It was nice of the book to have that though. Maybe that's why the author didn't fill in many details from previous books. Now that I have started getting more into series', I am finding it might be best to follow your policy of them all being released before starting... I just can't wait like you can
  3. My mom overheard a child, almost crying, ask why the had to "be killed before they were dyed" We have two Easter events going on-site today an egg hunt and "dye" eggs ( ) and then tomorrow morning the Easter bunny will have arrived. So fun. Being Santa Claus and the Easter bunny are some of the best parts of having a child
  4. Funny, I thought it was you with the recommendation
  5. Its gorgeous here today, bright sunny sky with temps around 23C. Perfect spring day
  6. Woohoo! My mom said the same about The Godfather (and she hardly reads!). I am really looking forward to the Celeste Ng book too. So many books, so little time . Didn't you read The Bees as well?
  7. That's very nice of you to visit my blog Reading wise, I'm doing great . Have you heard about Hitler Out of Time? It sounds crazy lol
  8. I've read a lot of samples today that are automatically being scheduled for the short listed TBR: The Bees by Laline Paull A Dirty Job by Christopher Moore Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng The Girl From Kraków by Alex Rosenberg The Godfather by Mario Puzo Hitler Out of Time by David Avoura King The Haj by Leon Uris Russka by Edward Rutherfurd Whew! It's been fun, but now back to Brandon Sanderson's Calamity and Sylvia Plath'S The Bell Jar.
  9. All Little House on the Prairie books have been released on Kindle (I've been waiting years). FYI-there are 9 books for 7 dollars each.
  10. I hope you like this trilogy as much as I did, it sticks in my mind as such a good experience of last year. I am switching off with Brandon Sanderson's Calamity and Sylvia Plath'S The Bell Jar.
  11. Well, Microsoft technical support killed my Surface. I'm fed up with both- Amazon and Microsoft. I think I'll go to Apple. Add to all that and I wake with an eye infection. Lovely.
  12. I am actually reading a book without audio today! I am 20% in Brandon Sanderson's Calamity and bought The Bell Jar this morning for 2 dollars.
  13. Ya, but are they in Dutch or the original Italian?
  14. Tell me more!
  15. *raises hand* We have a beanbag I'm in darn mess with Amazon. My Kindle is not working, so I am attempting to get the proper apps for my books and audio. Well, the book part went fine. But now they aren't sure if the audio will be Immersion or not I'm supposed to wait 3-4 hours for a callback, that was at 5:00am so.
  16. Plenty of room for more fantasy in pics 3 and 4 The Stilton's are dwindling...
  17. Ugh- that is the truth! I got the Kindle app installed on my Microsoft Surface, but now they don't think my audio will sync with the book because it's Microsoft! I'm expecting a call in 3-4 hours It's 5 in the morning. I was hoping you'd chime in, thanks Claire! Right now, ^^ I just have the Kindle app on my Surface tablet, they aren't sure if I can do Immersion with it and that is the only way I have been able to read lately. Plus, I am in a good book
  18. Anyone been forced to read their Amazon books through something called a "Kindle Cloud Reader"? Is there a way to get audio as well?
  19. There are no Paperwhites that have a speaker, so no audio
  20. I bought The Last Girl, Book one of the Dominion Trilogy. It was on sale for 6 dollars and the immersion was 2. Score! 17% in Massie's Catherine the Great.
  21. Unfortunately, they don't read to me! And I love my music on the same device too. My mother's solution was to get rid of my entire library! "Those are books you'll never probably read again, they are taking up too much space on the Fire and if you want to re-read the book, just rebuy it." WHAT!!?
  22. So, my Kindle Fire is in the process of dying. I've been on the phone with Customer Service for 4 days now. I've had countless Kindles and Fire's, but this is ridiculous. They should not last for only a year. So, my questions are: 1) If I buy an IPad, and use the Kindle App, can I still play audiobooks and listen to my Kindle music? 2) Does anyone have one of the new 7 inch Fire's that take a memory card to increase memory? 3) Is the IPad app easy to use? 4) What should I do?
  23. You made my day Thanks Janet, for the comforting words.
  24. I bought From Russia with Love. The synopsis sounded good, I will check out the two others, thanks
  25. Don't know if you are still on or not, but there are a huge number of Ian Fleming books on sale atm on Amazon. If I knew which one to get, I'd buy one
