Can anyone recommend something similar to Stephen Kings Dark Tower books? I'm looking for some kind of adult fantasy books, not teen books. Is Game of Thrones in that category or Joe Abercrombie (dunno if thats spelt right),

Still reading The Return of the Soldier Melvyn Bragg only about 150 pages to go now so starting to think about what i'll be reading next
Thanks, it seems like a good storyline so i should enjoy it, ive liked most of James Herberts books so far

Finished Stephen Kings Cujo. Even though the dogs portrayed to be a monster i still felt sorry for it. But then Stephen King is good at doing that!

Just watched 1st season of Entourage, took a few episodes to get into it but its growing on me.

Is it really? I didn't know that! About it being the first Castle Rock story...cool.
Actually no its not , im wrong, its the 2nd story set there after The Dead Zone, my bad. But you really get a sense of what Castle Rock is like in Cujo.

I'm not sure whether to read Cujo or The Dark Half as my next King read...I would go with Cujo, plus i think its the first book set in Castle Rock which is also where Dark Half is set.

Halfway through Cujo, enjoying it more 2nd time around. Its hard to believe Stephen King can't even remember writing this book cos of the drink and drugs.

I think I read Fluke in the early '80s. Is it about a dog who thinks he's a man and a man who thinks he's a dog?! I read a few Herberts back then, but they're not really my cup of tea, although I think I enjoyed The Fog.
I'm reading Sugar for the Horse by H E Bates. It's the follow-up to My Uncle Silas.
