  1. I think everyone judges people why what they read. It's the same with fashion and everything else. I always feel like a lesser person in my English Literature class when there are people who have read Jane Austen novels or other classics that either a) I haven't got round to or b) never heard of because I only started taking English Literature for A-Level. It's even harder when you have a literature teacher doing his Masters who incorporates what he learns into our lessons and brings up critics etc thinking that we have heard of them. I guess I just judge that those who have read Austen etc are better read than me in that they have read the classics and can appreciate them. But I do appreciate the one's I have read in my own way. And I'm just well read in my own way
  2. Just cried with laughter for 5 mins at the fact that @jackwhitehall wants to serce risotto in muller corner pots! #rednoseday

  3. Hollyoaks
  4. Uh, customer service.
  5. It's a lot clearer now. Questions are starting to be answered about things. Like the questions regarding the possessed and stuff. But yeah, certainly a lot clearer now. I'm definitely not reading the next in the trilogy straight away. I'm going to read the second book in the Soldier Son trilogy next just because they're more relaxed and I find them easier to read through. Would also be a bad decision to start another long read such as the second in the Hamilton trilogy as I'm going away from home for a week over Easter and plan on just taking my Kobo with me to save suitcase space. Definitely not done much reading of the book the past couple of days though. Been really sidetracked by having my niece and nephew around a lot and just my eyes being really tired in the evenings the past couple of days. I think that's down to the bright lights from the opticians. But I'm within the 100-200 page mark now of ending it. So it shouldn't be long. I'm hoping to finish it by the end of this weekend.
  6. Just finished some blackcurrant
  7. Macaroni cheese
  8. Ouch, I'd be really freaked if that happened to me. Glad you managed to freeze your card! Tonight should be fun. Going to be spending the evening in my room helping boyfriend with his apprenticeship work and I can just tell my Mum will act weird about her being left alone in the living room.
  9. Late night lasagna. With 20% more beef. To make up for not being able to use horsemeat I'm guessing.

20% more beef? So now it's only 80% horse!

Exactly! I don't think it really did have horsemeat in. But I don't see how they can call it Beef Lasagna with only 27% beef overall o.O

  10. Movie night with Danny. Went and saw Parker :)

  11. My dinner consisred of sweets at the cinema. All that sugar has filled me up.
  12. Went and saw Parker at the cinema with my boyfriend. Was alright. Bit typical of Statham but J-Lo was quite good.
  13. I cancelled my subscription for World of Warcraft. I really want to try the Tomb Raider game but we won't be getting it for awhile as my boyfriend recently got Crysis 3 and hasn't done much with it yet. But I think Tomb Raider is definitely on the list of games that we will have owned.
  14. I dont know if I have an english lesson! Help!

I don't get to try it. It's a curry I wouldn't like. Thai probably haha. And I don't think it was that hot. It's got garam masala in but I don't know about chillies or anything xD

  16. I think it would be a good idea to place warnings about content material on the back of the book. Just like they do with PC games etc. It's the parent's choice if they want their children to read the book or not, and how much a parent allows their children to choose their own books. It would certainly be good as some children are mature readers and will read adults books etc far before a certain age and they should be warned, both parents and children, if their is any content such as explicit sexual scenes or anything like that.
  17. Got my Mum to order me a new calculator. I'm using the Sharp brand one which doen't compare to the Casio's. Hence why I can't put my answers in surd form. The Casio's do it for you instantly so maybe this time I will do better in my maths exams.
  18. Ice temperatures/wind and sunshine. But still some clouds. Couple of cars coming off Dartmoor that have snow I think but still nothing here.
  19. I can't vote as I haven't read many Shakespeare plays but I do believe that Macbeth is his greatest tragedy. I've only read on Hamlet and Macbeth and Macbeth is just pure Gothic tragedy. It's more supernatural and tyrannical but it was far more appealing that Hamlet. Though I did get into Hamlet after watching the Kenneth Branagh edition with Kate Winslet. But my opinion of Shakespeare isn't a good one. If I had a choice, I would never touch any of his works. The language and just the writing style of plays just don't appeal to me.
  20. Getting close to the end of The Reality Dysfunction now. About 200-300 pages left. Hoping to finish it tonight but most likely tomorrow.
  21. Was meant to have "heavy snow" where I live but all we have is freezing cold wind and temperatures. Clouds but no sun. And absolutely no rain whatsoever. Maybe there is some up on Dartmoor.
  22. Ended up having to stay home today. Woke up feeling faint and my stomach was absolutely killing me! Suffice to say that after an extra 2-3 hours sleep it had disappeared. I kinda regret being ill (obviously I didn't choose to be) as I can't work on my essay or talk to my Business teacher today now for a couple of days. The pain of illness!
