You've read a lot of great books last year! I loved Replay too, The Language of Flowers is on my TBR so hopefully I'll like it as well .

I've been watching the first few episodes of the first season of Smallville. We finally bought the boxset and so I look forward to see it all. So far I'm really liking it.

I have to agree with Kay, I prefer the first Despicable Me film over the second one.

x I haven't heard of Zumba before, so I googled it. It seems some kind of dance-fitness?

x Welcome back!! I have this book on my TBR, I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it . I've read and liked other books by Jodi Picoult so I hope this one will be good too. I'm sorry to hear your mojo was bad for a long time, I'm glad you've found the joy of reading again. x x Nice !! I also have a Kindle, but I don't use it for all my reading. I prefer to hold a paperback book. When travelling though it's really easy and handy, and also when it's not so light and I want to read (my Kindle is a Paperwhite, it has a light).

What are your reading plans for the year?
Athena replied to Michelle's topic in General Book Discussions
x I used to very much go with the mood I felt in, I picked up the book I felt like reading. For the past while I've been making big TBR-soon piles, of the books I want to get to or shouldn't forget about. Even then I might still pick something else. For the read-a-thon I tend to pick certain books as well, so there's my read-a-thon pile too (and after each one I put the new books on it). I tend to vary my genres, so after I've read a book of one genre I then usually pick one of another genre. I have certain books I definitely want to get to in 2014. x x I just read your other thread, this sounds interesting! I bought A LOT of books in 2013, more than I'd ever bought before, because of my stress, and my aim for 2014 in terms of buying is to not buy as many books as in 2013 and spend less money on books, be a bit more selective about which books I buy. x x Good luck!! That's quite some books !! -
This idea sounds pretty good ! Although I don't doubt my amount of books bought will in a while be higher than my amount of books read.. (atm it's 8 read in 2014 vs. 1 bought).

x I hope you enjoy it! I quite liked that one . x I haven't read The Bay at Midnight yet, I hope you like it ! x x Sounds good! I've been wanting to read Dracula for a long time (but haven't done so yet). People say the book is quite different from the many films that are out. x x I've been keeping my eye on that book, but I'll wait until there's a paperback version. It sounds pretty hilarious, glad you're enjoying it . After the read-a-thon I wrote a lot of reviews and wasn't sure yet what I felt like reading. I've read a few pages in Robert Jordan, Brandon Sanderson - A Wheel of Time 14: A Memory of Light which I'm really excited to read, but I wasn't really feeling it yet so we have to wait and see. I also read some in a magazine. This happens now and then after the read-a-thon, I've read so much I need to slow down, or something. I do plan on doing more reading in the near future.

I have a different book by Daniel Abraham on my TBR list, Long Price Quartet 1-2: Shadow and Betrayal. I'm glad you enjoyed The Dragon's Path, it sounds like I'd enjoy it too.

Lots of good books in your list! The Player of Games is my favourite Iain M. Banks book so far (I've read the first four Culture books). I love the Wheel of Time series, as you know. I quite liked Replay too. Some of the other books are on my TBR too or I have other books by those authors on my TBR. Happy Reading in 2014, Tim !

Great review, Steve! I quite like to read about the Arthurian times. Your new books are looking wonderful, I hope you'll enjoy them .

I wish you a good reading year in 2014, Ian . I'm re-reading the Harry Potter series myself at the moment, I'll be re-reading number four in a little while. It's a lot bigger than the first three books, though, but it should be good. I liked this one the least when I first read it, so we'll see how I get on.

I hope 2014 will be a good reading year for you, Diane !
