The only thing that comes to my mind is Empire In Black And Gold (Shadows of the Apt book 1) by Adrian Tchaikovsky. However, it's an adult fantasy book that was published in 2008, so probably not what you're looking for. But it's the only book I've read that involves part moth people and a kidnapping. It's been quite a few years since I read it, so my memory is not the most accurate of the book. Maybe someone else has a better idea of what it could be.

I love the first 4 Earthsea books! I'm glad you liked the first 2 a lot ! I've heard great things of Once Upon A River, glad you enjoyed it .

I'm glad you had fun reading!! Yes! Unless that's not a good time/date for you..? I had been planning to go to the bookfair that weekend but.. they went bankrupt and so it won't be happening . Some thoughts on the books I read during the past ~30 days. I went on holiday so I read some books on my Kindle, as well as some paperbooks. Hamilton - Commonwealth Saga 1: Pandora's Star (re-read) I really enjoyed re-reading this adult epic space opera hard science-fiction book. Book 1 in a duology, I'm currently re-reading book 2. Susan Hatler - Kissed by the Bay 6: All About That Kiss I enjoyed reading this romance book. I wanted to read book 7 in the series as well, but somehow something is wrong with the (international) file (namely that it contains completely the wrong book). I've reported it to Amazon but as far as I can tell, I don't think it's fixed yet. A. C. Buchanan - This Other World Science-fiction short story about an autistic woman living on an alien planet as an immigrant. Jay Bell - Like & Subscribe Short story, m/m romance. It was a nice read. Jay Bell - Language Lessons Short story, m/m romance. Liked this one a bit less than Like & Subscribe. Ada Hoffmann - Fairest of All Free short story: http://futurefire.net/2019.50/fiction/fairest.html I absolutely loved this. It's a magical, beautiful story with autistic characters and I loved it. Josine Bouwmans, Ina van Berckelaer-Onnes, Sander Begeer - Autisme en ADHD in een Persoon An autism and ADHD memoir, I liked it but wished it was longer. Shawn Inmon - Rock 'n Roll Summer Free piece through the author's newsletter, about a summer and a concert festival the author went to when he was younger. Shawn Inmon - One Last Stop Free short story through the author's newsletter, about a trucker and a girl in a bar. C. G. Drews - The Boy Who Steals Houses YA contemporary fiction about two autistic teenager brothers and found families. Because their father abuses them, and later on their aunt abuses them, they decide to run away from home. I loved this book so much. Elise Cordaro - Anders gaat ook Autism ADHD memoir. I pre-ordered this in March, it came out in September. I really loved this book. Very recognisable and the author also had some interesting tips and advice. Brandon Sanderson - Dreamer Short story that is kind of weird to describe without giving too much away. It was okay, wasn't a big fan. Vanessa Greene - Summer Evenings at the Seafront Hotel Short rom-com story about a girl who works as a receptionist at a hotel, it was enjoyable. Hanneke Hendrix - De Verjaardagen A Dutch author's debut novel about two misfits/outcasts who live in the same small village. Boris has a tendency to destroy things, Lies has a skin disease and because of that wears bandages. I really liked most of the book but I wasn't so keen on the ending. Video 2, the books I read during the BCF October 2019 read-a-thon: Books mentioned: Natsuki Takaya - Fruits Basket 11: Volume 11 Natsuki Takaya - Fruits Basket 12: Volume 12 The next 2 volumes in the Fruits Basket manga series. I loved volume 11, volume 12 was good but not as good as 11. Ann M. Martin, Gale Galligan, Braden Lamb - The Baby-Sitters Club Graphic Novels 7: Boy-Crazy Stacey The newest Baby-Sitters Club graphic novel, based on the novel Boy-Crazy Stacey. It was an enjoyable, nostalgic read. Alice Oseman - Heartstopper 2: Volume 2 A YA m/m romance graphic novel (the author releases pages on the Tumblr page for free, but I wanted to read the paperbook). I loved this volume, just like the first one. I love Nick and Charlie's relationship. Raina Telgemeier - Smile 3: Guts Book 3 in the author's graphic memoir series. Guts takes place when Raina is in middle-school. She has an upset stomach and at first thinks it's a virus/bug. But she keeps having an upset stomach. Great mental health representation. I really enjoyed this one. I'm currently re-reading Peter F. Hamilton - Commonwealth Saga 2: Judas Unchained and I also started to read Veronica Henry - A Night on the Orient Express today, together with a friend from BookTube. Your bike ride and spending time with your family sounds nice . I hope you enjoyed your weekend of reading . I spent most of yesterday with my family, and after we got back home I felt too tired to read. Just before bed I did manage to read a bit in Judas Unchained by Peter F. Hamilton (book 2 in the Commonwealth Saga, a re-read for me). I don't feel I read lots, I read 4 out of 5 books on Thursday (I started a day early because I knew I wouldn't have much time and energy in the weekend), but at least I got through the ones I really wanted to read . I hope you'll join me again for the next read-a-thon, in November .

I recently managed to find a second-hand copy of it! It has been out of print on my usual website for so long, that when I found a second-hand copy from the UK I ordered it (I don't normally do that, because often they don't arrive - I'm still waiting for my second-hand copy of another book, oh well. But gladly this one did arrive!). I haven't read it yet but I have high hopes I'll like it based on you liking it so much .

I think I've heard some other people saying the same thing (I haven't read it and don't think I will read it, so I can't comment personally). Sorry you aren't liking it a lot. Welcome here though ! I'm re-reading Judas Unchained, book 2 in the Commonwealth Saga by Peter F. Hamilton. I'll probably read other books in between reading this book, as it's 1200+ pages. For the upcoming read-a-thon, I'll put it down for a few days and focus on my usual graphic novels and manga. I read a bit in Judas Unchained yesterday evening and really enjoyed it.

@Hayley I'm so glad you'll be joining me ! Thanks ! I'm planning on reading 2 volumes of Fruits Basket (I've been reading 2 volumes during most of this year's read-a-thons), but other than that I have a stack of graphic novels and manga to choose from. I'm hoping to at least read Heartstopper Volume 2, because I've been looking forward to that one a lot. I'm also really looking forward to the newest Babysitters Club graphic novel. Other than those, I think I'll just see what I feel like, once I've finished those 4 books .
