  1. Jodi Taylor - Just one damned thing after another First in the St Mary`s time travel adventures - it`s one of my favourite books. Free ! Free !!
  2. Val & Kit mystery series - Foreign Relations - free atm. I also saw that a few of Jody Taylor`s St Mary`s book are @99p.
  3. Hurray for all the good books ! It`s such a good feeling to discover an `enthusiasm` ; I got into `real people memoirs` * comparatively recently and it`s good to explore new stuff. * As opposed to some politician`s memoirs = aren`t I wonderful.
  4. Hurray, you`ve read lots too. I`m now 28% into the 6th Stewart Hoag book.
  5. Gaia, you read lots ! Lau Lou, congrats on finishing your Bronte book. I`m now on Book 5 of David Handler`s Stewart Hoag series.
  6. I`ve got that Venetian series in my ` try at some point` list - glad it looks worthwhile ( and there`s a cat ! Whee ! )
  7. I started read-a-thoning last night ; I read the last 15% of EE Holmes` Portraits of the Forsaken ( excellent ) , the last 60% of David Handler`s The Man who Dies Laughing ( pretty good ), and the first 40% of the second David Handler/ Stewart Hoagy mysteries, The Man who lived by Night. I have a month left of my Kindle Unlimited thingy, so I`m hoping to cram lots of books in.
  8. Thanks for the reminder - I didn`t realise it was read-a-thon time again ! Hee, that gives me an `excuse` to ditch the newspaper catch-up and get back to reading books.
  9. Another vote for Asterix, by toutatis...
  10. Thanks Gaia . I`ve taken it, though it might be too scary for me.
  11. Lazy, Trouble, Posing, Looking ?
  12. Yes ! Another great Helene Hanff book. I was particularly pleased when she talked about meeting Joyce Grenfell, who I`m a big fan of ( she also has some great memoirs/letter collections ).
  13. Look at those littlies !
  14. Considering Andrea Camilleri`s in his 90`s, his work ethic is still extraordinary.
  15. Inspector Montalbano - Carousel Excellent ! Loved it - and - there`s another new ep in 2 weeks - whee !
  16. Now I feel complicit, like I`m an accessory to someone`s increasing TBR.
  17. The first one is The Shape of Water and it`s 99p here atm. A Voice in the Night sounds good ; I`m up to around book...13 ? So I`m a few books behind.
  18. I haven`t decided if I`ll watch Outlander S2 - I may see how many other things I `have` to watch at the time.
  19. I completely forgot about Timeless. I`ll have to catch up when they do repeats.
  20. Wish You Were Here ( Book 1 in the Mrs Murphy series ) - the books have sweet illustrations too, if you take a peek at the excerpt. That site has lots of good storage ideas ; I saw one suggestion of storing books in the `knee space` under a desk, which did make me realise that I very rarely sit at my desk and could probably squirrel away quite a few books that way.
  21. https://www.apartmenttherapy.com/homes-with-clever-library-spaces-248944 Some fantastic pics.
