kitty_kitty Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 I am re reading this series of books and i am enjoying them all the more this time around. I love watching the films after i have read them and seeing the changes or what parts they are missing. Also i am really enjoying the Order of the Phoenix more than i did the first time but i think that might have been because eithjer i read it very quickly the first time or i was ill when i read it. It is interesting reading these books knwoing what happens and picking up the clues as you read them. Quote
Louiseog Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 I read them all once and then again to my son and am supposed to bereading them again to the next one but having listened to them all on tape again am a bit bored! Quote
lexiepiper Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 I've just re-read this series and adored it, it's the first time I've read it the whole way through with all 7 books back to back and it was great, I found I liked and disliked different books this time around to what I did last time and that was interesting Quote
Lucybird Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 I couldn't say how many times I've read them, except Deathly Hallows I've read 3 times. When there was a new one I would always read it, then read them in order, then read them backwards, except with DH, then I only got as far as Prisoner of Azkaban with my backwards read Quote
Raven Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 It still makes me laugh when they bring in the body of Colin Creevy in The Deathly Hallows . For some reason that never gets old . . . Quote
lexiepiper Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 It still makes me laugh when they bring in the body of Colin Creevy in The Deathly Hallows . For some reason that never gets old . . . Didn't fuss me because he was so annoying Quote
Raven Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 I just like the off-hand way Rowling does it, and then pretty much ignores it thereafter! Quote
lexiepiper Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 Yeah, maybe she didn't like him either!? Quote
Raven Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 I wouldn't be surprised, he was nearly as annoying as Dobby. Quote
Raven Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 Actually, I laughed at that as well! (I'm a bad man . . .). Quote
Lucybird Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 I wasn't a fan, but all the same I did find that bit sad the only bit I cried at though was when Harry was in the forest knowing he had to die Quote
BookBee8 Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 Awww I loved Dobby!! Must re-read my Harry Potters soon. I haven't read one since last July (or whenever Deathly Hallows was released!) Quote
lexiepiper Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 Seems ages ago! It's sad that there'll never be another, they were great to read Quote
Lucybird Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 I know, but there's always the encyclopedia Quote
Raven Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 Seems ages ago! It's sad that there'll never be another... I wouldn't put money on that . . . Quote
