dex Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 I've just watched The Sweeney. The attitudes there, but the car chases and excitement aren't.
dex Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 (edited) The 3d one also spoiled it as no ones going to survive a sppecial effects laden trap. You are a glutton for punishment emelee, I gave up after the second one, things were getting pretty sick ! The thing wrong with Saw, Is the argument between Cary elwes and the producers that stopped him being in the rest of the films. Edited September 24, 2012 by dex
Nicola Booth Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 As it was our wedding anniversary last weekend (11 years). I dragged hubby to see Hope Springs with Meryl Streep and Tommy Lee Jones Let's just say that I really enjoyed it! One Day - I really enjoyed it even though I knew what was going to happen! I watched it on Sky Premiere a couple of weeks ago and although I enjoyed it, I can't help feeling that I would not have if I had not read the book! I also thought that they left loads out? Any thoughts?
chesilbeach Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 We went to see Hope Springs yesterday. Not what I was expecting from the trailer, but not bad.
Karsa Orlong Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Aliens. I've seen this film so many times, but I just never get sick of it. Ditto! I'm past the hundred mark now ... On the plane to Chicago I watched John Carter (very silly but kinda fun) and Chronicle (which I thought was brilliant)
Nicola Booth Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 We went to see Hope Springs yesterday. Not what I was expecting from the trailer, but not bad. I kept expecting Steve Carell to be funny! He was excellent in a serious role.
karen.d Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 I've just finished watching 'The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel'. I've seen it before, but I still enjoyed it. It's refreshing to see a film which relies on plot, rather than explosions and special effects.
bobblybear Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 Ditto! I'm past the hundred mark now ... Really? I've watched it countless times but not that many. I'm impressed!
Karsa Orlong Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 Really? I've watched it countless times but not that many. I'm impressed! You're talking to the person who saw it ten times at the cinema when it came out
pontalba Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 We went to see The Master with Joaquin Phoenix and Philip Seymour Hoffman. Different. Interesting. I want to see it again.
Ruth Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 Daddy Long Legs, with Fred Astaire and Leslie Caron. Lovely film
frankie Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 The Truth About Cats and Dogs. It's one of my favorite 'chick flicks' Janeane Garofalo
chesilbeach Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Caught most of The Blues Brothers the other night. Haven't seen it in ages and it was brilliant to watch it again. Going to get a copy to watch it again all the way through, and dig out my copy of the soundtrack too.
