I usually spot books that look good, then forget about them. So, I thought I'd make a note here, for the next time I'm buying or at the library!

Cathy Kelly - Past Secrets (ordered)

John Connolly - The Book of Lost Things (on shelf)

Julie Myerson - The Story of You

Sarah Pinborough - The Hidden

Maggie O'Farrell - The Vanishing Act of Esme Lennox (on shelf)

Maggie O'Farrell - The Distance Between Us (ordered)

Jeanne Kalogridis - The Borgia Bride

Sylvia Plath - The Bell Jar

My memory is terrible so i have a big notebook that i carry around to add titles to and also to refer to when at the library or in a book shop. I'd be lost without it because i can never remember any of the books on my wish list ;)

I think thats a good idea. I think I may copy you. I always get to the bookshop, or wherever and forget all titles and authors. I just go completely blank! I think a list or notebook would be a good idea.

It looks like my lovely mum may be getting me some of those for my birthday! :D

My shelves are filling up again... I think it's time to have a clear out again, and take some of the 'just in case' books to a charity shop! ;)

I have to say that that is a top idea!

My mind always goes blank when I'm out looking for books. There are just so many of them staring out at you from the shelves that I completely lose what I'm looking for.

I've started a wishlist on LibraryThing (I forget very quickly books that I've seen and like the look of) - at some point I'll print it off and it will serve as a 'shopping list' for when I'm at the library.
