Massiniman Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 I really really love his books; Too Close to Home & No Time for Goodbye. They do take a while to get into, in my opinion, but straight after that you're seriously hooked. Can't wait for his next book, especially as my forum is doing an interview with him! Anybody else read these? Quote
chesilbeach Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 There's a thread specifically for No Time For Goodbye here, plus if you search the forum for Linwood, it comes back with a veritable feast of reading blogs, so I'm guessing you'll find quite a few people who've read some! Quote
frankie Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 (edited) Can't wait for his next book, especially as my forum is doing an interview with him! Anybody else read these? Anywhere we can read his interview? I just noticed myself that his latest book is already out, called Fear the Worst. I'm definitely going to get it at some point. I've only read Too Close to Home so far, but I was immediately gripped with that one, it was one of the most fast-paced and unputdownable thrillers I've read. I have No Time for Goodbye on mount TBR. Edit: Wow, Mr Barclay's one busy bee! It appears that his next novel Never Look Away is released on 2 September, 2010! Edited July 24, 2010 by frankie Quote
Finty Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 I'm just about to finish Fear the Worst. I've enjoyed all of his books. Glad to see he has another book out in September . Quote
UrMyStar Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 I read Too Close To Home a little while ago and really enjoyed it. Quote
catwoman Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 I have one of his books on my TBR pile, it's a book I picked up on a charity shop due to a lot of people on here loving it so much. I will read it one day... I promise!!!! Quote
pontalba Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 I have two of his books, Too Close to Home and Fear the Worst on the shelf TBR. Looking forward to them, especially now! Quote

ian Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 Just finished "Too close to home" - my first experience of Linwood Barclay. Very enjoyable, and I've now started "Never look away" Ian Quote
ells1bells Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 I read No Time for Goodbye some time ago & was absolutely entranced by it. I've read his others now & can say I've really enjoyed them all. They may be slightly formulaic but I've not read anything where I want to just read the whole book in one go for a long time. Quote
risingdawn Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 I'm about to start one of his books now. Think it's his most recent. Never Saw It Coming. His books are great when you need a break from big books or from reading the same genre over and over. Quote
NickB Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 I believe he's writing a sequel to No Time for Goodbye. Really looking forwards to that. Quote
tiggerg Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 I loved the accident, is definitely my favourite so far, i've read too close to home and fear the worst. No time for goodbye is on the floor next to my bed to be read. Quote
dex Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 I've got four and I've read two Too Close To Home and Fear The Worst with No Time For Goodbye and Never Look Away on my shelf. Quote
ian Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 Just finished "The Accident" - I've put a review on my thread in Reading log. Really enjoyed it. Quote
