Just finishing up my lunch of salad. I cooked up some excellent chicken and portabella mushroom sausages last night and they made a great addition to my salad today! :motz:

Porkless bacon isn't all that bad! Did you know Bacon Bits (the brand, not all of them) are completely meat free?

 

It doesn't taste that bad.. just, not really like the real thing.

I've had Quorn pork-less bacon before (at one point back in Liverpool I was sharing a house with four vegeterians...!) and found it plasticky and inedible :motz: but then, I'm a bacon fiend. Chicken's easily the best in terms of reproduceability, I've been fed Quorn chicken curry before and only realised it wasn't actual chicken because my vegetarian friend was also tucking in.

I agree, the chicken isn't too bad. My stepmom is a vegetarian so I've had a lot of forms of meat substitute. :motz: Most are pretty good; we use the soy 'hamburger' crumbles most in things like meatless tacos or chili.

 

Its not too hard to go meatless these days with all they have out there. The only thing I worry about with their products is how processed and sodium filled they are.
