I never really bought singles, I always preferred to buy the full album. First one I bought was Dr Dre - The Chronic, on tape:tong:

I bought two albums with Boots record tokens (remember them???)

 

Hedgehog Sandwich --Not the Nine O'clock News & Hunky Dory--David Bowie.....both on tape.

I know all the words to all three of those songs to this day.

I really wasn't into music when I was younger, apart from a few girl bands who I had albums for such as Spice Girls and B*witched (who I still love ). The first single I can remember buying was Jenny from the Block by J-Lo in 2002.
