If you buy a tin of pilchards in brine, do they need cooking before they can be eaten? The vet suggested trying some strong smelling fish to try and get the cat eating, and as I'm not a fish person I'm not sure what to do with it!

No you don't Jo. Our 2 geriatrics love them in tomato sauce!! (i remove most of the sauce first) Another hit is tuna in springwater - just as rich in fishy oils.

 

I know how you feel Jo, when they are unwell - one of our 'girls' is on insulin and must therefore eat!
