Acesare* Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 If you buy a tin of pilchards in brine, do they need cooking before they can be eaten? The vet suggested trying some strong smelling fish to try and get the cat eating, and as I'm not a fish person I'm not sure what to do with it! Cheers muchly, Quote
Icecream Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 No they do not. I warm them up on toast for Andy but he also eats them from the tin. They will be fine. Quote
Angel Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 No you don't Jo. Our 2 geriatrics love them in tomato sauce!! (i remove most of the sauce first) Another hit is tuna in springwater - just as rich in fishy oils. I know how you feel Jo, when they are unwell - one of our 'girls' is on insulin and must therefore eat! My thoughts are with you on this one Quote
Acesare* Posted September 22, 2006 Author Posted September 22, 2006 Cheers guys, he turned his nose up at the cod so anything's worth a try Quote
Louiseog Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 But remember to keep calm , they will not eat if you get stressed too! Or my kids never did! Quote
