kate2962 Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 Hi I am Kate and live in Northampton. I love reading tho am not a fast reader so I dont get through as many books as some of you. I read love/romance, thrillers esp the psycologial (sp?) ones, murder mysterys, and anything else that takes my fancy. I LOVE jane Austen but have read her books so many times I am reading more modern literature these days I look forward to getting to know more of you Quote
AbielleRose Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 Hey Kate! Welcome to BCF I'm a huge Austen fan too. Her stories just pull you in and grab your heart in a way that makes them become a little part of you. Hope you like it here. Quote
frankie Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 Hello Kate and welcome to the forum! If you like Jane Austen but have read her novels too many times, maybe you'd like to try some other authors that are a bit similar to Austen? Maybe the Bront Quote
Weave Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 Hi Kate, welcome to the forum, looking forward to reading your posts and don't be worrying about how fast you read Quote
pipread Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 Hello Kate, welcome to the forum. I think if you enjoy reading it really doesn`t matter how fast or slow you take it, that`s part of the joy of reading there are no right or wrongs. Quote
Kylie Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 Welcome to the forum, Kate! Are you into any of the vampire literature that's so big lately? I've just finished the second book in Charlaine Harris' Sookie Stackhouse series, and they've got murder, love etc. Great reads Quote
pickle Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 Hi welcome to the forum, also a huge fan of Austen, I remember the Christmas I got the complete hardback set..best present that year. Everyone reads at different speeds its the enjoyment and escapism of reading that counts so don't worry. Quote
BigWords Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Welcome to the BCF. Don't worry about how fast you can read. I would read more if I didn't have to work... Actually, I sometimes read while I'm meant to be working, but that's frowned upon for some reason. Quote
