Rawr Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 It'll be like they've won the champions league knowing them It does make me laugh with all those bloody scarves out of nowhere and the 'new' blue moon song and the ridiculous lightshow they do before each game, it's so stupid :S All you have to ask them is who the hell out of these players were playing for the club before two seasons ago? Is that how you really build a great football club and respect? Quote
ned Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 These billionaire owners will soon get bored and move on to the next big thing. Where will they be then? Quote
ned Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 And United reach their first final of the season Beating City to get there makes it all the sweeter. 33 years without silverware is about to become 34 no matter how many millions they spend Quote
Rawr Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 Injury time winner again Did you see Tevez smiling at Ferguson, i think they respect one another, the media just blows it all up. Quote
ned Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/football4fans/ A petiton to ask the goverment to look at the problem of greedy owners ruining our football clubs Quote
Stephanie2008 Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Such as changing football ground names to include their own business title?? Quote
poppyshake Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 I'm not looking forward to the Spurs V Leeds replay .. it was nerve wracking enough last week. Would love Spurs to go through but with Leeds having the home advantage it's going to be tough. Quote
Inver Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 Hi Sedge...how you get on this weekend? Surprise, surprise for us yet again.....nae footie due to the snow! Quote
Sedge Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Bad Luck again Inver. Our match was touch and go owing to out snow covered pitch, but the ref decided to continue. Our chairman had to dash out to the local sports shop 10 minutes before kick off, as we didn't have an orange ball! In very snowy conditions, we recorded a 4-0 to go 3 points clear at the top - I see promotion in the distance, but I wish it was May already! Quote
ned Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 Manchester United proved that they haven't given up the title race yet. What a game. Quote
Kimmy619 Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 I braved the cold and went to my first ever football match on Saturday! I went to watch Leicester vs Newcastle with my o/h. We both really got in to it depsite neither of us being from Leicester. My o/h is an Aberdeen supporter and me being from a small town in Cornwall, I have never supported anyone in particular. It was a really good game even though there were no goals. Definately going again Quote
ned Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 Less than 2 hours until the transfer market closes, doesn't look like there are going to be any big deals going through. I was really hoping that United would bring in a striker, if Rooney gets injured they have nobody to replace him and with the news that Villa are interested in taking Owen away it makes the need to bring someone in even bigger. Quote
Rawr Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 There is a conflicting situation about the striker at Man United though, because Berbatov cost Quote
ned Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/p/portsmouth/8497491.stm Portsmouth have 4th owner of the season Quote
WrongIslander Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 ^ I care so little I almost passed out. Seriously what the hell has the game I loved become? I've never been less bothered about a derby in my life. Quote
ned Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 True, what happened to the checks that the FA were supposed to carry out on prospective new owners? If they had done a proper job then they would never have allowed someone in a poor financial state to take over the club in the first place. Quote
Inver Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 Sedge....not looking promising again for footie this weekend....snow still here. Hubby off down to Fife tomorrow night. He has a ticket for the Raith Rovers v Aberdeen cup game on Saturday...hopefully if it is on, but the pitch has been frozen past few days:irked: Unlucky last night too.....we were supporting St Johnstone v Rangers. It was on the telly but they were beat 2-0...blooming Rangers:irked: Just looked out window....looks like it is raining Quote
Kimmy619 Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 My o/h was not happy about the Rangers score at all! He had a little rant about it. Quote
Inver Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 Yeh Kimmy another St J fan...lol. One good thing....our snow has gone...rained in the night and shifted the horrbile stuff.....don't think the pitches will be playable though probably waterlogged now. Quote
ned Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/8495604.stm John Terry stripped of his England captaincy Quote
Sedge Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 St Austell are away tomorrow. That bodes well for the weather as it only rains/snows when we're at home! Quote
Stephanie2008 Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 Good Result for Newcastle. I was supposed to be at the match too but couldn't go Quote
Inver Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 Raith Rovers were 1-0 up at 94 minutes to go through to the next round Scottish cup and the blooming Dons scored in the last minute we were robbed. Now a replay 16th Feb Quote
ned Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 5 past a poor Pompey today and City lost as well. A good day all round Quote
