Sheeta Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 I'm Mathilde, 16 (nearly 17) and I'm French! I love a lot of books (a real book-eater I think xD) and I'm going to London for Christmas... I will buy a lot of English books (cause they're cheaper than French books...) and I have my ideas: I'd like to buy Salome by Oscar Wilde, and Labyrinth by Kate Mosse! I also want to find love books (I'm not a huge fan of love stories, but in English they sound better, don't they? ) So I hope I'll find good ideas (but I will, cause everyone's talking about everything here ^o^), and good friends too! Kisses to everyone, even if I don't know you by now. xD Quote
ned Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 Hi Sheeta, welcome Oscar Wilde, good choice Quote
Sheeta Posted December 2, 2009 Author Posted December 2, 2009 Thank you! yes, I'm a huge fan of Oscar Wilde, and I really want to read him in English... And I don't have Salome, so if I can buy books I'll seek this one! Quote
Sheeta Posted December 2, 2009 Author Posted December 2, 2009 Waaah, thank you everyone, I'm already crazy about being here. xD Quote
AbielleRose Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 Hello Mathilde! Hope you like it here Quote
BigWords Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Hello. There are beautiful editions of most of Wilde's work available now. The ones with reproductions of Aubrey Beardsley illustrations should be easy enough to come by, but I would recommend you check paper quality before buying anything - some editions are on very rough paper with ink bleeding issues. Sheeta Posted December 3, 2009 Author Posted December 3, 2009 Big Words => Thank you, although I nearly buy books for their paper qualities sometimes. xD Thank you everyone! ^o^ Quote
