Stephanie2008 Posted January 14, 2010 Posted January 14, 2010 Anyone been watching the snooker? Not if you paid me Snooker and Golf are the two sports I can't stand
Ben Posted January 15, 2010 Posted January 15, 2010 Golf is horrible.. but I find snooker strangely relaxing - rather than boring - to watch. I guess it's the nerd in me; I love watching how they analyse the game, angles, how much spin or side to put on a ball, positioning, etc. I think it's a pretty incredible sport to watch but can certainly understand why people would find it boring. It is supposed good to have it on in the background as opposed to having it on and watching every single shot.
nightingale Posted January 15, 2010 Posted January 15, 2010 ^ Agreed, snooker is great to have on as background noise... very relaxing. I often nod off when it's on, i think it's a combination of the commentators whispered voices and the sounds of the balls bouncing off each other .
Ben Posted January 15, 2010 Posted January 15, 2010 Yep, understood completely! I can never seem to fall asleep while watching something I enjoy though, so I'm a bit different there. I'll sit and watch or at least have it on until they have come to the end of the session or the match.
