Nollaig Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 Personally, though I'll get the most minimalistic version available if there's no cast-commentary, I think it makes more sense to get a New Moon with something limited/New Moon related rather than one with Eclipse previews.... you're going to see Eclipse ANYWAY in time, but you'll never again get, say, New Moon movie cells. Fi. Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 (edited) http://www.robsessedpattinson.com/2010/02/robert-pattinson-will-be-presenting.html RPattz is presenting an award at the BAFTA's, I think it's on tv on Sunday night! What's the betting he's presenting the Rising Star award and it's probable/possible KStew has won it? http://www.bafta.org/awards/film/orsa,951,BA.html Edited February 18, 2010 by Fi Quote
Peacefield Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 I agree about rather having the DVD with the film cell, Noll. Eclipse and June are not that far off, right?! Thanks for the heads up on the BAFTA awards, Fi! Hopefully it'll be broadcast on cable over here or someone will have it streaming online. Quote
Fi. Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 (edited) I think someone mentioned BBC America might show it? Not sure it'll necessarily be Sunday night though if they are, plus I expect an avid RP fan will no doubt put his presenting slot up on YouTube or something Just got this from my bestest friend in San Diego BBC America Sunday at 8pm ET to watch, and E! will have red carpet coverage wrap-up Monday morning at 7am ET Edited February 19, 2010 by Fi Quote
Fi. Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 Don't forget the BAFTA's tonight folks 7.30pm BBC3 Red Carpet coverage & 9pm BBC1 for the actual awards. BBC America 8pm ET and red carpet coverage on E! Monday morning 7am ET. Looks like a few of the Twilight Saga actors are going to be there! Quote
Peacefield Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 Thanks for the heads up, Fi! I'm glad this place I'm staying gets BBCA . I'm all set to do some sparkly swooning now . Quote
Fi. Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 Yay!!! There's quite a few sites streaming it live too, if you check here - http://baftaawardslivestreaming.blogspot.com/2010/02/bafta-awards-2010-live-streaming-watch.html Might just be easier to watch it on BBCA though Quote
Peacefield Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 Ooh thanks for the link! I'm sure I'll get impatient and will want to watch real-time . Quote
Fi. Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 (edited) Thought you might ETA - Looks like anyone in the US might not be able to get the streaming without paying for it! BBC have clamped down & put huge restrictions on what can & can't be shown and I guess they want people to watch BBCA. Edited February 21, 2010 by Fi Quote

lexiepiper Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 That is awesome, we always get the cr*p ones here though I ordered my Twilight 2 disc DVD the other day (yes I realise I'm massively behind, but I didn't like it too much so was waiting for the price to come down ) I'm really looking forward to seeing the extras and such before New Moon comes out! Are you all pre-ordering it? Quote
Peacefield Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 Oooh glad you ordered the Twilight DVDs finally, Lexie! If you haven't seen the version with commentary, please do since it's hilarious . I'm pre-ordering the NM set of DVDs from Target on Friday this week. Hopefully they'll arrive ON the 20th and no later! Quote
Weave Posted February 24, 2010 Author Posted February 24, 2010 I have decided that I don't want New Moon' and cancelled my pre~order. :lol:Yeah right! in answer to your question Lexie, I pre~ordered it from play. com (with free keyring). Quote
Peacefield Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 Thank goodness you were kidding, Weave! I almost spit out my water! Please don't scare us like that again . Oh, and is it March 20th yet?! Quote

Kell Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 (edited) It's certainly very pretty, but I wonder how much more expensive this version would be than the regular one? It always seems to me that the companies bring out multiple versions, one after the other, each one "better" than the last in some way in order to encourage fans to buy multiple copies. It's money grabbing nonsense in the extreme and I hate that. Unfortunately, book publishers are now doing exactly the same thing. I mean, look at all the different versions of the Twilight Saga there are now available. And how many people have multiple copies? It's just taking advantage of the fans, many of whom are very young and/or don't have much disposable income anyway. THe exact same thing is being done with Harry Potter. I'm outraged that they're splitting the final book into two ilms (the only book that was possibly long enough to warrant that was Order of the Phoenix and they managed that in one film, so they're talking out of their bottoms saying they need two installments for book 7!). They also produce box set after box set with more and more films in. Why not just sell the films singly and then create a box set with all the films in the series when it's all done? That's more than is needed, really! Edited February 25, 2010 by Kell Quote
Peacefield Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 So I pre-ordered my copy of the NM DVD from Target . I saw too that apparently there are several stores in the US like Borders and Best Buy hosting 'viewing parties,' but can you imagine how obnoxious that would be? Just like the opening night of the film but more crammed in with all kinds of tweens sitting on the floor like they're at a slumber party. I'd rather watch in the comforts of my own home! Have you all in the UK heard of places there hosting parties? If anyone's interested (duh!) here is the 10 second teaser clip of Eclipse that was released today. It's not much but I'm not complaining! Quote
Fi. Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 I've not heard of any parties but it wouldn't surprise me! I saw the the 10 sec teaser earlier, can't wait for the full trailer tomorrow though Quote
Peacefield Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 The full trailer is coming out before Friday and Remember Me? I hadn't heard, Fi, cool! Can't wait . Quote
Fi. Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 Yes it is! I'll see if I can find the link showing what time, I think it's maybe sometime in the morning for you Here's the blurb! Quote
Weave Posted March 10, 2010 Author Posted March 10, 2010 I know most of us have seen it by now and I hope you don't mind me posting, but here it is, all ten seconds of 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse', enjoy ~ I freely admit to saying 'shut up Jacob', I can't help myself Quote
lexiepiper Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 I'm still loving Jake, and think he's so cute Quote
