Bronwen Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 I absolutely adore Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson. And although they are more comic books than literature, they have little stories in them etc. that go on for a few pages sometimes. I used to read the books over and over again when I was a child, just never got bored of them! When I was in Borders today I saw the complete collection of Calvin and Hobbes had been released in a set of 3 large hardback books, at the price of Quote
Seiichi Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 I love Calvin and Hobbes too. Some of the strips are timeless classics, especially the traditional 3 or 4 panel ones. I actually think some writers could learn from reading comics: they're succinct, short and sweet. Quote

Nollaig Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 I adore Calvin and Hobbes. I love any Philosophical strips, they're so cute It'd be nice to have that set, but since all the strips are online anyway I'm in no hurry to buy it. Quote
kernow_reader Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 Another Calvin and Hobbes fan here. We love them so much that the kids named our cat Hobbes! And very philosophical he is too I have 2 sets of the comic books which I've owned for about 15 years or so so doubt I will be buying the Amazon ones. Quote
