I loved the Magicians Guild Trilogy and I'm hoping to get my hands on her new book too. I agree, there isn't enough time I've kept my eye on the magicians guild but since she bought out the new one I have more of an urge to read them, probably will sometime. It felt like a bit of a slog at times but then other times I read much more than I would have anticipated. Some great characters that you could sympathise with and really get behind. (Sequel to Die For Me) Still similar themes to all the other stories and same kind of characters but the story is very good. She has some great ideas. I liked the ending though, but the rest just dragged, I think it needed more editing too. Maybe you'll like it, we all have different tastes, no? Then Kendra bumps into the man who shares her awful secret and everything falls apart - especially when the kids are taken away by their mother. The only way to fix things is to confess all about her past, but that's something she swore never to do... Started: 28/04/09 Finished: 06/05/09 Rated: 3/5 Comments: Not a bad story. I can't help but feel I may have read it before or something very similar but that's not impossible with my memory. I did feel the story started to trail off about 3/4's the way through but it was picked up again at the end where everything is pulled together nicely. It's not the kind of book I would rave about and it hasn't changed my life in any profound way but if you're interested in giving it a go, I wouldn't discourage anybody. Similar in style to Martina Cole but slightly lacking in the plot arena. Very easy read and passed an afternoon for me.
