jewell Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 Can anyone recommend a good Authentic Italian cookbook? I love Italian food and would like to cook some of the meals from scratch. I know, for example, the way a pizza is made in italy is different to pizzas you can get over here. Quote
Jo-Bridge Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 "The Silver Spoon" is the italian cookery bible which has been a bestseller there for 50 years! It literally covers everything you can think of! Be warned it is MASSIVE! Other italian coockery books I have found good are Twelve by Tessa Kiros (tuscan food) and Antonio Carluccios Italia Quote
jewell Posted December 12, 2008 Author Posted December 12, 2008 Thanks. I am going to give these names to my husband, in the hopes he will buy me one as a pressie. Quote
Jo-Bridge Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 No problem! It will be worth it for your husband if you cook from them! Quote
