Alone in a Crowd. by Lee Currie (from the tv series Fame) sums my and my life up very well. Vital signs by Rush. On my own, from the film Fame. Roland Butter
It's really hard to decide cos there's quite a few but some of them for now: Aint' No Mountain High / Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell Tears Dry On Their Own / Amy Winehouse Ever noticed the similarity? I think Ms Winehouse has been listening to more than a little bit of Motown.

madcow
One of my all-time favourite songs is one that Dale and I actually agree on as being one of the very few "perfect" songs in the world, i.e. there's absolutely nothing that could possibly be done to improve it - Vienna by Ultravox. Love that one too. Downtown - Petula Clark Another great tune. Streetlife - Randy Crawford And another one Judy Tzuke - Stay With Me Till Dawn Not heard that for years. I've got loads of favourites far to many to mention but the majority are rock 'n' roll/doowop:mrgreen:
Janet
Judy Tzuke - Stay With Me Till Dawn Not heard that for years. I hadn't until I downloaded it from Tesco a couple of years back. Streetlife - Randy Crawford Love that too.

SaraPepparkaka
Being a true Finn, all the songs I like are more or less melancholic. My mother tongue is Swedish, however, if you wonder why I've included a song from Sweden, too. I added youtube links only to the songs NOT in English. Uriah Heep: Lady in black REM: The one I love Thin Lizzy:Whiskey in the jar Nazareth: Love hurts Amy Winehouse: You know I'm no good Metallica: Unforgiven (this was chosen after careful consideration, they have many excellent songs, but since I have some dear memories to go with this one, I ended up choosing it) Bj
Mia
REM: The one I love Oh yes, I agree on this one! Also Losing my Religion.
Stephanie2008
Downtown by Petula Clarke and Vienna by Ultravox are too of my favourites. Add in Valerie by Mark Ronson and Amy Winehouse, Killer Queen by Queen and Bennie and the Jets by Elton John and you have my favourites. Bit of a mish-mash of styles though.
