Guest Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 I only caught a few minutes as I forgot it was on. Bum bum bum. And I have a not-so-secret crush-of-shame on Ken Stott. Quote
supergran71 Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 I only caught a few minutes as I forgot it was on. Bum bum bum. And I have a not-so-secret crush-of-shame on Ken Stott. Its repeated tonight at 10.45 on BBC1 I didnt watch, but OH did. I was never keen on Tony Hancock I am afraid Quote
Guest Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 Woo-hoo! Then me and Ken have a date tonight! Quote
Spooncat Posted March 31, 2008 Author Posted March 31, 2008 How did the date go Lol:mrgreen: I bet you didnt miss the "getting in the bath scene" Quote
Guest Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 I got a @!#$% phone call that went on...and on...and on... Bah! But it was from a friend who's ill at the moment so I didn't want to say, "Yeah, yeah, boo hoo - look, can you tell me what the doctor said later, 'cause Ken Stott's on telly?" Pfft. I spend my entire life cultivating the personality of a misanthrope and still people like me and want to talk to me! WHY??? Quote
Guest Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 It seems I'll have to buy a backlog of Rebus DVDs instead and lock the door, switch off the phone and stock up on munchies. Yeah. Rebus would be better, because it's set in my favourite city. Quote
~V~ Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 I was never keen on Tony Hancock I am afraid Same here but I'm looking forward to the one this week - Trevor Eve as Hughie Green and the last one which is David Walliams as Frankie Howerd which looks great The Harry H Corbett one was good but rather bleak Quote
Guest Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 I see Frankie Howerd's sister has spoken out against that programme - said it focuses on her brother's homosexuality more than anything and so makes it appear as if that's ALL he was. I can see her point - there's more to a man than who he sleeps with. I haven't decided whether or not to watch it yet. Quote
Spooncat Posted April 1, 2008 Author Posted April 1, 2008 Are there no other Tony Hancock fans here? Will be watching the H Green one as well Quote
Janet Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 I'm not really familiar with Tony Hancock's stuff. Apart from the bit about a pint of blood being "life and death to some poor so and so" (or something along those lines!). Quote
Guest Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 I only know he topped himself. And did some Galton & Simpson programmes. (Before said toppage of course). Quote
~V~ Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 I've just found out Thomas Sangster was in this. Gutted I missed it now Quote
Janet Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 I've just found out Thomas Sangster was in this. Gutted I missed it now Do you have broadband? If so, you can watch it on IPlayer for the next 5 days (or download it and keep it for 28 days). Quote
